Hello, I have a new Big horn 2500 and a new 2021 Forest River TT with a furion camera adapter mounted on the rear. I have an after market backup camera and monitor that worked perfect on a 2015 ram Laramie towing a 2016 TT. The monitor works when plugged into the cig lighter and so does the camera. The problem arises when I plug the camera into the furion adapter where it belongs. The camera won’t turn on. Measuring voltage at the adapter is 11.6 where voltage at cig adapter is about 12.6. When both items are out of the truck and plugged into 110v to 12v adapter they bluetooth and work fine.
I read on another site posted by a fellow who had a denali and had the same problem as me that there was not 12+ volts coming thru the 7pin to the marker lights due somewhat to the led lights not needing 12 volts and the furion camera adapter. I talked to the cam manufacturer and were told the cam would not work without 12 volts. Their advice, hard wire it.
sorry this is so long I have an idea what to do I don’t want to mess things up while still under warranty

Headlights are on (not auto) and trailer is plugged in?

I just purchased the Furrion setup last week with the 7" monitor. My TT had the mount and wiring. I tested the camera in the truck, plugged it in to the trailer wiring and mounted it. Works fine.

Thanks whitexc, yes lights are on and 7pin plugged in. As stated in my first post, there is less than 12v coming from furion adapter wire. Do you think the connection from furion wire to the marker light wire may be shorted? i have to remove the furion adapter from the tt to look at that. The camera works fine when plugged into cig adapter And the monitor works from the furion adapter? Thanks again

I suppose it is possible that you have a bad connection back there. Try the grease on the plug trick first but it sounds as though you may have to chase connections until you find a bad one.
