4Runner to PW

While not arguing against your point, there are other suspension components that are different as well. The articulink on the front radius arms being a major one, which allows more articulation over the standard 2500s.
Yes - you are right. I was oversimplifying.

Well, I made the jump. Picked it up today. Went in really undecided, after having some serious 2nd thoughts. Without even batting an eye, the dealer came out swinging and offered me a deal I couldn't pass up. About 30mins into the 3hr ride home, I was grinning ear to ear. So happy to be back in a truck. Managed to get 17.2 hand calculated on the drive home over 130mi of mixed 30-50 roads, and then 72-75 on the highway. I'm more than ok with that - and know it will drop with my short daily commute. Going to replace the Duratracs with some 35" Toyo AT3s and be done for a while. Got a 7yr 100mi bumper to bumper on her for basically nothing.

The only thing currently driving me nuts (until I get used to it) is the magnified passenger side mirror. Kept thinking I was going to change lanes into someone the whole ride home. Not having BSM is so 4 cars ago for me.

The pass mirror is something that you somehow both get used to, and can't get over. I forget about it after a while, and then I'm backing up somewhere tight and realize and it will drive me crazy for days before it slowly fades away.

Congrats on the new purchase man, a little offended there are no pictures, but still happy for you :)

OK ok, sorry for the tease. These are from the listing - I'll post my own tomorrow. It needs a serious bath from VT & NH backroads.

Awesome that it came with a cap. Those things are expensive. It needs a Borla S type exhaust! Then it will sound like it looks!

Yes, yes it does. All good things to those who wait. The basic punch list (in no particular order) will be:

35s (not playing the 37 game again)
Thuren track bars
Bed molle
Baja amber fogs
4X Baja 6" lights (amber & white mix)
Hard mount HAM and antenna
Borla S Type
Front & rear bumpers

Congrats on the purchase!

The passenger mirror isn’t magnified, but it is flat glass unlike most vehicles.

Well whatever the reason for it - it's like looking through an LPVO. Trying to teach myself to look for the convex mirror instead.

You’ll definitely get used to it, it’s actually a great mirror due to the size. I use the convex one too, but don’t rule out the main mirror.

FWIW I tired the aftermarket convex mirror and returned it before installing it. Just having it help in place and looking at it was much worse than the flat glass.

I'm sure I'll get used to it. I think it's the combination of the "weird" mirror, plus having a leer cap for the first time. I like the cap - but it's definitely a different view than I'm used to (this is by no means my first truck or first large truck).
