Thank you. I can't find any reference on any build code sheets to the Adaptive Forward Lighting System (AFLS) that was on higher end trims prior to 2025. The only official reference I can find is here: https://www.stellantisfleet.com/ramtrucks/2026/2500.html . But AFLS or any combination of the acronym don't appear anywhere on any of these documents: https://sharesync.serverdata.net/us4/s/folder?public_share=w0tgFX2jkrLJoVOFC10LgV003f24cd&id=Lw== (from the Mark Dodge thread).

I know the LEDs are now standard, but did they remove this feature? I found nothing online specifically about the 2025+ models aside from boilerplate marketing stuff on various dealer websites, but nothing on actual code sheets.

The 2025 stellantis link has more detail

The new 2025 Ram 2500 features an Adaptive Forward Lighting System with illuminating LED lamps that turn up to 15 degrees, helping to enhance visibility despite dim conditions.

The 2026 seems deliberately ambiguous. It would be a shame if this feature was quietly removed for cost savings purposes.

One dealer responded already and said they couldn't find it as an option code, so it may no longer be offered. This 2026 brochure states "SAFETY & SECURITYBlind Spot Monitoring (BSM)10 with RearCross-Path Detection Rain-sensitive windshield wipersDirectional headlamps (Adaptive ForwardLighting System)Auto High-Beam Headlamp Control" https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.autoip...6/16_70a14cf8-eff3-11f0-8e93-d29722606e91.pdf

I wouldnt say that dealers like Mark Dodge will give a higher discount on a custom order vs a truck ordered for inventory (discount meaning actual discount off the truck and excluding any rebates). These high volume dealers like Mark Dodge, Koons, Granger, etc usually price both their orders and stock inventory the same...so it doesn't matter which one you buy, the discount is the same.

A truck on the lot may be eligible for additional rebates if they've been sitting for a considerable period of time ...that's the only way I see a truck on the lot being cheaper than a custom order from these dealers.

Your local dealer will likely charge you substantially more for a custom order because they'd rather sell you what's on their lot.

Once you find out exactly what you want, I'd get a quote from a couple of the "forum" dealers you referenced and then contact a couple dealers close to you...see if they are willing to match your "Mark Dodge/Granger/Koons" quote. Most won't even try, but maybe you'll have someone willing to play ball.

One last thing I've noticed, the volume dealers seem to give an additional 1% discount off MSRP if you're an Affiliate member. Haven't found a local dealer willing to also give an additional discount for using an affiliate code while selling below the "affiliate price"

Thanks for that info. I'm not sure what it means to be an Affiliate member? I've started the process of getting quotes from the various dealers mentioned here, one mentioned Affiliate pricing, one did not. So far the custom build pricing seems to be coming in a little higher than what I've seen in existing inventory on Autotrader, but of course finding an existing build with the color options you want is difficult if you want anything beyond black or white.

Dealer notified me truck has arrived. Just about 3 months total. Not too bad. May pickup Saturday if I can hold myself from thinking logical and hold off on this purchase.

Oh wow, builds are taking 3 months? I thought they were happening faster than that. Is 3 months an outlier or closer to standard from order to delivery?

it's like GM supplier or Ford X plan. back in the day, and even these days to an extent, you could go in to a GM dealership and say...I have a supplier discount and the dealer "would" sell you the vehicle at a predetermined price, which supplier/affiliate price is 1% under invoice. Sounds like a good deal until you find out dealers are willing to sell you a vehicle for 4% under invoice and you don't even need a "special authorization code".

dealers usually get an extra kick back for selling a vehicle under one of these programs.

If a dealer mentioned it, they are either wanting to sell at 1% under invoice, or dealers like Mark Dodge will essentially pass along all/some portion of their kick back and they usually offer an additional 1% off of sticker if you provide an affiliate code...so an extra $800-1k discount.

Back during covid a lot of dealers wouldn't even sell a vehicle at the affiliate/supplier price (ie, Tahoes/Yukons were mostly sold at sticker or more).

There are some programs where you can pay for a membership and 60-90 days later you can use the membership to obtain an affiliate code...or maybe your employer is an affiliate member.

take a look at the link below

I had a hell of a time trying to get the code for the affiliate program from my company, company was on the website/documentation but actually figuring out where/how to get the code was taking me in circles. Anthony actually got my info and figured it out for me. Think it was like $800 bucks off or something at the end of the day so defiantly worth the trouble to figure out if your company is on the list.

I think for me it took longer than usual because my truck, from what I understand, shipped via boat to Baltimore unlike Mark Dodge and other mid-central US based that ship via train. Things to consider when ordering. I didn't want to fly down and drive over 1k miles back home so I waited. :)

They've linked me to Tread Lightly, looks like it's 100 bucks to get the membership that gives you the discount code.

Just got home with the new truck, and I’m honestly blown away by how nice these new Rams are. After living with a 2021 F-450 for nearly six years, you start to normalize how a drivetrain behaves—but this is on a different level. The 8-speed transmission is noticeably smoother and more refined than the 10-speed. These new 5.5-gen Rams are absolutely worth the upgrade, whether you’re coming from Ford, GM, or even an earlier Ram.

Agreeded, untill you drive one your self, you have no idea the diffrence.

I'm still trying to decide whether I want to pull the trigger on a F250 Platinum Tremor 7.3 or a Loaded Power Wagon with the 6.4? Both trucks MSRP around the same...just shy of $90K. Deals are better on the RAM but I'm not buying based on the cheapest price. Decisions...decisions..........

I have a freind that just bought thr Tremor. Loves the truck as he's been a ford guy since beginning of time. I feel the Power wagon has better all-around 4x4 capabilities.

So I've gotten build quotes from a couple of the aforementioned dealers. It's looking like Mark Dodge has the best pricing so far, with my loaded Laramie and Limited both coming in at around 12K off before taxes/title/registration. I'm wondering if that's about where everyone else is, or if there's additional room for negotiation especially considering the numbers of these things sitting on lots and the spike in diesel prices.

the only additional discount of any significance will be if/when more than a $1k rebate is available.

I got a great quote from Mark Dodge, but after adding up the airline ticket, uber, hotels, food and fuel to go from Mark Dodge to Tucson it wasn't enough to consider them.
