2024 RAM HD Trailer Camera Coax Cable HELP

LOL agreed. All I need is that damn cord. Don't forget to drop some pics of both ends please. Still hoping I get lucky. Curious, do you think I can use a regular coax and just tape it in or something?
You’re not gonna find the connector that plugs into the port on the bumper of the truck, it’s some kind of proprietary that I haven’t been able to identify.
If that kit was ordered with your truck, and it was missing parts, they’re going to have to get you a new one somehow.
In the meantime, here’s how you can get it to work:
Order a 10’ section of male to female fakra z RG58 cable- https://a.co/d/02Tk1EX2
Unplug the black fakra connector from the back of the port on the bumper.
Plug the male fakra z connector of the new cable into that black fakra connector you unplugged.
Plug the female fakra z connector of the new cable into the repeater.

So you essentially bypass the bumper port and direct connect the truck to the repeater? Thats a cheap fix and easy as well. Thanks Jimmy!

It appears the connector itself is the same for all trucks, the one that hooks into the bumper. Since I sold my truck and my kit is only good for 22 models I am willing to part it out. It looks like I can unscrew the connector you need. Shoot me a text and lets see if we can work something out. 318-393-0629.

Sorry, ignore. I didn't see the pic!

Jimmy, thank you sooo much for this. Unfortunately I didn't see this in time to get this done for my current camping trip, but the cord is ordered and I will get this done for my next. Meanwhile my dealer will let me know when the proper cord is available. I believe I will receive the kit free since it never came with my package and they believe it was due to being on backorder even back then when I took delivery. It's truly refreshing to see that there are people out there actually willing to help and not just find things wrong and point fingers like most of Social Media.

Has anyone found just the cable to order? Or does anyone have a source that will make one?

Don't put too much faith in the dealer. When I bought my 23, I noticed the coax port on the bumper to the left and asked the dealer what is this for? They had no clue, none of them, sales, parts, or service. Now the truck also has the 360-camera port on the right, which I am very familiar with and knew it was not associated.

I learned after the purchase that my truck was already wired for the DVRM trailer camera and all I needed was the trailer kit. Then the pain began. Almost a year later and I finally got a kit, installed in on my trailer and plugged it in, and voila! I can see behind me in my Digital rearview mirror.
Great,do you know the part # for the dvrm trailer kit?
Because I'm in the same boat, bumper has coax cable port, i have no cable to the trailer

You want part number 68586112AA

I found one on eBay, just have to keep checking.

My salesman said that Coax/Fakra port on the left side of the license plate was a “Nitrogen charge port” for the suspension system. B.S>
He also said they would ship the trailer camera to me.

A year later the dealer Did Ship the camera kit to me PN 68686112AA ….. and I installed it… BUT the bumper cozx/fakra connector …on the vehicle side …is connected to NOTHING.
NO vehicle wiring harness is connected to it.

Now the problem is for the dealers to figure out what “jumper cable” is needed to complete this process so the camera can talk to my digital rear view mirror.

Did you get this figured out? I read on another thread a person was having the same issue. The spare tire was removed and the cable needed was found; just wasn't plugged into the bumper connection for some reason.

I did,thanks

YEs…the Issue was the vehicle-side of the cable was stored and coiled-up above the spare tire. I dropped the tire…and followed all the cables/harnesses …and found it. Plugged it into the vehicle-side of the FAKRA and the camera immediately works.

BTW, I re-visited the dealership who tried to help me…but who came to tell me this camera was not useable on a 2500…only a 35004500/5500 … which all was wrong, of course. I returned to inform them of my success in finding the cable and how that worked…. and the dealer THEN assured me that it worked ONLY because THEY had “flashed” my BCM/ECM….

I call “B.S.” on that. The harness was installed on the assy-line…as was the FAKRA. It just wasn’t plugged-in It’s apparently a very common issue.

Which camera are you using? Is it only the Mopar brand one? Every other one I've found online is wireless. I'm wanting factory integration.
