It is EXTREMELY confusing. I got tricked by the descriptions and I even did forum research and watched Ram videos and read the descriptions again. I have the trailer 360 camera system sitting in a box (4 cameras and breakout control module) that I don't plan to ever install. It is unclear to me whether it came with option XN1 or AAN.
All I wanted was the digital rear view mirror with the 2 side surround cams (built into the tow mirrors) and wired rear trailer camera, which I added. I thought I had to order XN1 to get the correct control module under the drivers seat and the coax connector on my bumper. To me, that is "surround view" whereas the tops down view with 4 cameras I would call a "360 view".
Option AAN sounded like the requirement to get the reverse guidance views, and the 360 cameras of the vehicle, and is a prerequisite for getting option AVS where I wanted the digital rear view mirror with side views. Cargo cam sounded like a bonus to me. Looking back, they perhaps meant 360 views of the TRAILER not the vehicle, and this forced that 4 camera system on me? But that seems silly to force 4 cameras on buyers that just want to add option AVS (the digital rear tri-mode and reverse knob).
Anyway, now I am the proud owner of a box of 4 cameras (that I'll likely sell NIB) and a 12 pin connector on my bumper. And still don't know which option did what.
