2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Yea the Chrysler Capital would have been ideal but it wasnt offered. I will take ownership of not knowing incentives prior to walking into the war room but they played dirty plain and simple.

I should make it clear, I would do business with Koons again… The only part im not happy about is the trade in value. The finance rate is an easy fix by bringing your own or refinancing like I intend to do.

As for shipping… see my order tracker for my specific timeline

It sounds like the service has suffered a little since I used them. Granted I didn't have a trade in, but Craig was great to deal with and the finance guy was low pressure and didn't even run my credit when I told him what rate I had lined up. In and out in about 30 mins.

Where did you see that Chrysler Capital is offering 2.9%/60? The only incentive I see on their website is 0%/36.

I got it last week when I my bighorn arrived. There was also a 90 day deferment. Here's a link to the incentives on the ram truck page that shows it, at least in my area:

You're lucky, yours actually shipped a few days after build once again making Stellantis's claim there's no trains untrue. I sold my '18 which turned into a horrible mistake. Bought an old D-Max dually to drive temporarily until the new truck, which they claimed 12 weeks, comes in. What kills me is the excuses. Outside vendor issue (I ordered nothing that needed an outside vendor), hail damage, no trains, rather dubious excuses since 4 of my friends have ordered trucks AFTER mine was built and have received them. Ramcare is an utter waste of time since they have no clue and make up excuses.

I've always been a MOPAR guy with currently a '21 1500 and a '22 Scat Pack Challenger along with my first Plymouth I bought in 1969, a 1967 Hemi GTX sitting in my garage. With the way Stellantis is treating their customers and apparently dealers now this may well be the last go. It takes a bit to disenfranchise a long time owner after 50+ years but Stellantis may well accomplish it.

This "No trains" bit is obviously not true. Sheer and total incompetence is rather more likely.

Oh, my other two toys nicely restored.
Once it passes QC and leaves the plant its the shippers baby, and then the dealers, Stellantis did their part already.

Just because you “outsource” something doesnt mean you are no longer responsible for it. They may lack some control, which one could argue means they lack define SOP etc, but they are still responsible for the end to end process.

When I order a vehicle from Ram, i hold them responsible for the entire process from order to delivery. Any faults in their processes reflect on them and the choices they made with the process.

Same incentive, it goes from 0/36 up to 3.9/72
What's up guys! New buyer here - bought through Mark Dodge. They were a class act as discussed here. We're super excited for the 3500 HO. Regarding the financing: I mentioned it and the sales rep (Sandi) included it in the deal jacket, so it's supposed to be available whenever the truck is ready.

What deal are you getting on financing?

The previously mentioned 0%/36 / 1.9%/48 / 2.9%/60 / 3.9%/72 offer.
Welcome to the club. Sandi was my salesman as well and was super helpful. You'll have the option of incentives at time of order or delivery with MD. Don't forget to sign up for tread lightly for an extra 500 discount and if you have a Penfed account you get a 500 rebate.

I didn't think I was getting Ventilated seats. But I got them. I went with level A. Level B has them listed not A. But they are on my build sheet and window sticker.
Just got my window sticker today and my Level A ordered 6/20 is showing ventilated seats. Didn't expect to get them either.

The paperwork I signed with Koons said that if you use incentivized Chrysler Capital financing the price goes up by $1000. I figured that’s what I’d do since 2.9%/60 months is about as good as you’re going to get and it’s worth financing the extra $1000 on the front end for the savings over the term of the loan. Did you ask Koons to find out what Chrysler Capital was offering?

I do need to trade in my 2021 Ram 1500 but I figured going in that Koons would bend me over on that. I’ll see what they offer but I pretty much resigned myself to selling it to CarMax. Sure, you’ll get less than if you sell private party, but it is so much more convenient than dealing with tire kickers, test drives, and all that.

Also, how long after your truck shipped did it take to show up at Koons? Mine shipped last week and I’m trying to get a feel for when it’ll be ready for delivery.
First time I've every heard 'The price goes up $1000 if you use Chrysler Financing". Knowing dealerships raise the % 1-2 points if a customer hasn't already secured their own financing, this tells me the dealership loses this 1-2 % points or approximately $1000.00 on the sale. Do the math! Let's say the average price of a 2022 RAM 2500 is $75,000.00. 1% of $75K is $750. 1.5% would be $1,125. This way the dealerships makes an additional $750-$1125 on the sale or an average of $932.50. The dealership can move the decimal point in their favor to get which ever amount they wish to make.

Again! I mention this because sales personal are trained to ask the right questions at the right time always staying one step ahead of the customer. The customer is always better off if they secure their own financing "AFTER THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION".

It is a really nice surprise. I really wanted them but don't need 8 more speakers or heated rear seats so glad it went this way.

All above comments about financing really helps, as I need to look at it very soon. Can't say how accurate the status updated on tracker, but saw 3 different updates on 8/25 (in production), 8/26 (built), 8/27 (shipped) really surprized me, finger crossed to hope the transportation won't suck.
If FCA financing can offer 2.9% for 60 months term, that's great, as I haven't seen any lower rate than that, even Penfed is at high above 5%.

Apparently when the tracker says shipped it may not actually be shipped. Initially tracker said Shipped 8/23, checked today and Shipped date changed to 8/27. Now I don’t know if the damn thing shipped or if the date will change again.

It's possible I misunderstood what I heard over the phone, but what I thought they told me was that if you intended to use incentivized Chrysler financing the price goes up $1000. That's not what the disclaimer at the bottom of the form I signed says though; apparently if you use Chrysler financing at all you're fine.
