2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking

Just saw an email from the Dealer, I asked Earlier if the D1 had a date, they said 8/27/22 - I know according to @pacnw1963 and @brv10, along with a few others that any date should not shift more than 4 times.

When my sales lady at MD confirmed my scheduled date on 7/28, she also gave me an estimated production start date 8/22, based on a lot previous posts, seems built date would be about 1 week after, if my truckt can be shipped out from factory by middle Sept, I will be more happier than lmost 4-month of D1 waiting.

Just wanted to post an update on my Dually order with Mark Dodge.... I ordered through Sandy, my sales lady at MD, she was excellent, knew the truck options, helping me get the most for my money and more importantly, get all of what I wanted. The truck was pretty much built in the timetable she thought it would be. It was delivered to MD pretty much within the month after being built.. The support group at MD has also been excellent, from Robert in financing to Derrick for logistics. They were all just so accommodating, friendly and patient with me. Derrick did excellent in getting me a shipper to haul my truck up to Mass ... and close to a fee I thought was reasonable... Derrick actually bartered with the shipper on my behalf, keeping me in the loop.

But lastly, I can't say how grateful I am for this forum and this thread and the people who have helped me get the truck I wanted. I found this forum early on after I had ordered a truck locally through my local dealer. While reading through this thread, I kept hearing about Mark Dodge in La. Guys were getting crazy discounts off MSRP from them. After a month of reading these posts and spending hours rebuilding my truck on the Mopar site. I came up with a combo that had everything I really wanted in my truck, but couldn't afford when I originally ordered locally, about $12,000 more of options ... well, heck, I sent the build to Sandy and she came back with the same price for a Laramie, loaded that I had for my Big Horn... not so loaded....!! I gave my local dealer a shot of matching, or at least, getting close to the price ... my guy at my local dealer, said I was crazy, MD couldn't possibly do a deal like that !! Guess what...... Last night my truck was loaded on a car carrier, heading to Mass !!!!!Dually.jpg!!!

One thing that I don't like ........ notice the big ole wheel weight on the outside of the front wheel .... Most likely, I'll replace the tires with a little more aggressive tire and have the wheels balanced properly with stick on weights on the inside ...

Keep in mind that when you rotate the tires, what's hidden now may show after rotation. With those nice black rims, might want to dab a little black paint on the weights.

This is from the 3500 Manual

Thanks Hank, I like the dab of black paint idea... but Since I retired from and gave my auto shop to my son... I think I'll take a ride down and if nothing else, rebalance tires and use the stick on inner weights.. Plus, I'm dieing to try out his brandy new wheel balancer machine! Maybe I can get him to buy me some better, more aggressive tires for my birthday ... :)

Are you planning a drive-by to the original dealer? That has been a thought in my head. I had a very similar situation to yours.

I'm leaving my mark dodge window sticker on the back window until my truck has to go in for a recall or some warranty work. I'm going to park it right in front of the sales window. I tried to give the local dealer a chance to come close. They wouldn't budge off of their absurd mark up. The sales guy actually laughed at me and told me I was getting scammed, there was no way I could get that kind of pricing.

ABSOLUTELY!

That is exactly the words my salesman used! But I will say they did give me about 5% off MSRP before I got the quote from MD. When I showed them that, he laughed at me, and said I was getting scammed, would never see the truck ...

My local sales manager didn't say I was getting scammed, but he did say it was impossible to sell at those prices. I told him they must move enough volume to make it back in sales incentives/bonuses. His reply was that they'd have to move 11,000 units a month to make any money!

Not sure how the Ram tracking google spread sheet gets updated but according to that list mine has been in paint since 7/27. Must be a great all white paint job. The Ram tracker says built but nothing on shipping. Best to ignore it all, expect at least 4 months and maybe much longer and hope for a call from dealer as a pleasant surprise. The more one obsesses the longer it seems to take. All could go perfectly right up to the time it falls off the delivery truck
Yours was built a day before mine-- It makes me hope that I will get some shipping information soon but I'm not gonna hold my breath
