2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking

What does constructively placed mean in regards to the railcar reaching its destination?

seems like it takes a few days for it to catch up. I got an email from crypto that my EL was available. Sanchez though had posted earlier in the day that it was there but when i tried it was empty. Just give it time.

@OfficerDirtySanchez - Line 1064 - 3C6UR5KJ8NG266032. - this is a Mark Dodge order. I emailed Renae at MD and she told me it's D1, but she didn't know the date.
Also, the comment in Column X was for my canceled order (which ultimately got delivered over 5 weeks early). Could you please update the tracker at your convenience?
Thanks!

@Gibby56 I thought you would have had yours already? Still waiting? I ran around the house naked and the truck started moving.....try that....just not around the kids.

I am still KZ… I checked Ram Chat after you posted to see if it was loaded last night with yours. No ETA yet. Who did you order your truck from?

I‘ll try that! My wife already thinks that Ive lost my mind, especially with how much Ive been talking about this truck :D

Does the VON/sequence number represent when the truck was ordered? IE if someone has a sequence number of NG000001 does that mean it was ordered before NG000000 or are those pretty random?

The VON and sequence number are not 1 in the same. I think the sequence numbers are assigned when a vehicle goes D??? Anyone have any other insight?

Unless I am mistaken, the sequence number is the last 8 of the VIN

I'm aligned with this theory. So in the US the sequence number and order date are relatively well aligned as the timeline from order to D status is pretty consistent.

Canada seems to be pretty different. It seems Canadian orders may hit D status long after the order was placed. So that's why you'll see some sequence numbers which seem out of place on the tracking sheet.

I also suspect some sequence numbers are out of place on the tracking sheet because the date a customer thinks their order was put in may not perfectly align with when the dealer actually formally submitted it.

Not necessarily. Let's say I ordered on 3/1 and you ordered on 3/7, but my dealer was lazy and didn't submit my order right away, and yours was on the ball and sent in your order immediately, you would have a VIN/Sequence number earlier than mine. Typically they are pretty close though.

The other issue would be vehicles that sit in a B? status (like Canadian orders that sit BG FOREVER with no VIN).

Someone help clarify as I am sure I have made this as clear as mud

Correct. Ordered for me means when they push the order to Stellantis. Otherwise, it's not in the system as ordered. That sequence number being the last 8 of the VIN then comes at when I think it goes D. And, like @OfficerDirtySanchez says, it appears Canada orders take longer to get to D. Therefore, they have later sequence numbers for the similarly placed US orders.

You are correct, I was looking at two different spreadsheets and this one referred to the VON as the sequence number. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...jqFtyJfuADQC5i5D7fX4lQqrQ/edit#gid=1884861679

I was looking at dates that people, like me, thought their truck was ordered but when I look at the VON it would actually fall in at a later date than what I was told it was ordered at. 3 months and still at D status will drive you to look at a lot of spreadsheets to try to figure out when I might see some movement on my truck build.
