Greetings all! First post as I always like to be able to contribute first when introducing myself to a new forum. Hopefully I’ll be able to bring something to the table during my build?!?

Just added the following over weekend (Truck has 800 miles on it)

Front
Thuren 1” Front Soft Springs
Thuren Active Sway Bar
Thuren Track Bar
Thuren recommended Fox 2.0’s

Rear
Thuren 1/2” Lowering Springs w/Extended Sway Bar Links
Thuren RearTrack Bar
Thuren recommended Fox 2.0’s

This suspension has transformed my truck into a 1500 in terms of ride. It’s like a Cadillac?!?

I have lifted MANY Wranglers and other trucks I’ve owned over the years and the engineering of this kit is really hard to believe. I am not affiliated with Thuren at all (didn’t even know who they were until I started lurking around the forums) but I wil say hats off!

Congrats. It is really amazing the difference it makes. Rides better than my wife's grand Cherokee.

Question. Does replacing those identified rear components reduce/effect any tow capabilities?

The springs will lower your pay load if they are the softer rate springs but the Trac bar will help with stability.

Any pictures of it on flat ground by chance? I would like to improve the ride of mine and eliminate some of the Ram rake.

I have a lot of the same components and I also am very happy with the ride over stock. Definity will be going after their suspension products for any 2500/3500 I own.

Did you do an alignment immediately following install (or as part of it at a shop) or are you waiting for suspension settle, etc.?

I did. I had the shop use Thuren alignment specs.

Very happy with the results.

Here she is with new shoes and flares. Think I’m dropping in 2” springs in front now and be done with it.

Well kind of…Stage 2 Thuren Kings are being built!

Thuren Soft Ride Coils
1” F, 1/2” drop R
Thuren Sway Bars, Track Bar, Rear Links
Fox “Thuren Specified” 2.0’s

KMC Grenade True Beadlock
17 x 8.5, 0 Offset
KO2’s 295/70/17

Bushwacker Non Pocket Extend A Flares

Nice build! I dig it!

Good luck with those ko2 tires. I just removed a set of them from my truck that had 15k miles on them. They just were never smooth above 65mph. No matter who balanced them. I experienced just what Thuren says those tires do.

Interesting because I’ve never bought anything other than BFG’s “save for a pair of Ridge Grapplers I thought were meh at best” for almost 40 years and I’ve never had any issues with them. Not saying it “won’t happen” but I’ll wait and see.

What tires are you settled on? I’m open minded if anything?!?

Same here I have ran them on so many trucks and they were great! But for whatever reason they do not pair well with this truck and cause most people slight shaking issues. I thought my Toyo RT’s in 37x13.50r18 were pretty darn impressive though.

I’m not settled right now, I only bought the bfg’s to try something different but I’d like to try the Toyo AT3. But who knows.

That’s actually a tire I have considered. They look almost identical to the KO2’s. Ive heard good things about them.

I’m considering going to 35’s after I move. My truck won’t fit under carport with them now. May try AT3’s when I do so.

Well, I caved and you were 100% dead on! I'm also moving on from the beadlocks. Pain in the ass! Went with some 20 x 9 Raceline Gauge's and settling on 295 60 20 Recon Grapplers. I do a lot of highway time and many of the guys I know and trust are saying these Recon Grapplers's and the new MT Baja Boss AT's are spectacular tires if you are on the pavement more than the trail. It's just money right?!? :) Should have some pic's Monday when the boys at DT can get me in and mount.

Darn it man. I was hoping you would have better luck than me!! Did yours shake too?

Did it annoy you how water and dirt would get stuck behind the ring on the beadlocks?

I’ve heard good things about those tires. You will have to report back.

Yup! It shook very bad from 55 to 65 then smoothed out at 70. So weird as like I said the KO2’s have performed flawlessly on more trucks and Jeeps over the years than any other tire?!? It’s almost like the compound is too soft for this large of a truck?!? It was very sluggish and unresponsive on the road. Also kept throwing weights which made matters worse. Supposed to pick up truck at 10 this morning so I’ll do a little testing, snap some pics, and report back.

The beadlocks were fine. I just found it was a pain in the ass to buy tires at DT, go somewhere else to mount them, then go deal with the craziness of DT to get them rebalanced every time they would throw wheel weights. Maddening when you are trying to run a business and satisfy the little lady in my life. I’ve got way too much stress anyway?!?
