2021 RAM 3500 Tradesman | AEV Prospector | FWC Grandby

Did you go with the standard reflector Led headlights or the laramie version that follow the steering imput?
I went with the projector LEDs which are apparently the best overall and do turn a bit when you turn the wheel. From what I understand the reflector LEDs can be plugged right into the factory harness whereas these projector LEDs require a custom harness to be manufactured. Jimmy07 is building the harness for me and Catmechanic has already installed a pair of projector LEDs using a harness that Jimmy07 built for him. They work great and look bright as all heck!

Very nice! My night edition housings were extremely well packaged as well! I was impressed.
Did you order your lights from Pam's also?

I was set on the black housings even though they would have cost me an additional $600 or so but that decision was in conflict with my promise to base my choices on function and not form. My goal is to build this rig to my specifications no matter how ugly she ends up being. Now the color of the truck and the FWC shell may appear to be all about form but gray and black were made based upon function also.

Dude, no judgement! however you decide to build it, it will be amazing. I definitely am with you. I need my truck to be functional but I don’t mind spending money on prettying her up as long as it doesn’t detract from functionality.

I bought my headlight housings from rock auto but they were in OE mopar boxes, appeared to be drop shipped. They were packaged in plastic wrap “hammocks” inside cardboard shells inside a larger outer box, they were basically suspended in air inside a box. They’re halogen housings, not LED. The black tail lights were packaged similarly but not quite as well.

Ditto - I respect others choices and although this truck is odd in a number of ways this is my little experiment. A standard cab long bed 3500 is kinda weird these days and as much as I wanted the 6.7L Cummings I had to stick with plans. Who knows what the next one will be or if there will be a next one, lol.

Ordered my Mopar off-road flares since these are the same ones used by AEV on their Prospector builds running 37s and 3" of lift.

Here are my wheelhouse liners for the rear. They cost $195 to have installed on the Tradesman when being built and these cost $170 delivered so I really didn't save much.

Since you're doing the OverLand build, what are your plans for suspension/axles?
AEV RAM HD 3" DualSport suspension for a long list of reasons. There simply is not another company like AEV and I have been modifying Jeep suspensions for three decades using others like Old Man Emu, Rubicon Express, TeraFlex, etc.
