2021 RAM 3500 Tradesman | AEV Prospector | FWC Grandby

The main reason I was looking a Thuren is the spring height I’m looking to go with. I’m only looking at their 1.75” coils so not much over stock, and should still give me a little bit of rake. Carli was another company I looked at but their shortest coil was 3”. I’m not wanting to go that high with this truck.
AEV makes some awesome stuff and eventually their bumper will reside on my truck, but for my wants their kit is going to be more than I need. Now if I ever decide to go crazy... (more than I am now, just ask my wife) then yea maybe.
Now my question is with you using their kit are you planning on going with 40’s?
RCLB + 40in anything = sweet looking rig
 
That is a very difficult question to answer: 37s or 40s

Logic tells me that 37s will satisfy virtually every requirement I have plus I could retain my stock 4.10 gearing and all would be well. I would say right now there exists a high probability I will go with 37s. Now 40s might offer me the greatest advantage in muddy and snowy conditions although I only plan to spend a limited amount of time in those conditions. Rolling on 40s would also require a gearing change and currently no one is offering other gearing for 2019 and up HDs unless you have a Power Wagon. While the 40s do offer limited advantages in a few situations I am not sold on their value overall. Time will tell though...

Me too - I have owned and built so many Jeeps over the years - CJ, TJ, XJ, ZJ. This has me excited all over again since I have been planning this one for a few years. I was surfing some videos on YT last night and was like, hey...I know who's cool rig that is! Enjoyed the video of you crawling up Hell's Revenge in the 'Yota. If you ever hit Moab it's cake - so much traction it's insane!

Thanks! One day I’ll make it out there. My brother is building a new MJ and lives in cali. We’re gonna hit moab together one day. I got a little YJ project going on as well, but it’s very mild.
 
Are those seats heated? They look great. Nice truck and good luck with the build.

First modification was installed before I even started the truck on the dealer's lot - Husky floor mats, lol!

Negative although I wish they were. These are the cheapest seats you can have on a RAM HD - they are the vinyl ones and I love 'em.

After your detailed rundown of the reasoning behind outfitting the truck the way you did, it stoked up everyone that read the original post to finally see it!

Well thank y'all very much - I always enjoy projects and this is going to be a fun but mild one.

Regarding the payload I was not sure what it was going to be until the truck arrived. I used the on-line Towing and Payload Capacity Guide so I had an idea but was not surprised when the numbers did not lone up exactly as expected. And the give two sets of numbers - maybe one for SRW and the other for DRW?

I really took a long hard look at the manual t-case but it was the same night I convinced myself to abandon manual windows I decided to buck-up, drop the big coin ($295) and go for the electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case. Actually, it was shortly after I decided that a twin-stick Atlas case would not be going in there that I figured why not try it out.
 
OK, might as well begin documenting modifications and upgrades in this thread also. Thanks for the recommendations guys - these are perfect!
