2019 Ram Heavy Duty orders - Tell us about yours!

I'm in Texas, what yards can they drop at? Dallas would be closest.

On the bottom of the window sticker PDF, there is the vin / von, then a four digit, that I am assuming is the offical completed build date of the truck. Even though the sticker was first available yesterday, mine shows a 0318 date.

Talked to dealer today and received a screenshot of a bunch of info I don't understand.

Prod Status - KZ
Last Locn Type - SPLC_CODE - Rail Junction Delivery to Interconnect Carrier - ETA Window 3/30 - 4/13
Rail Dest - Alliance, TX Rail Ship Date - 3/20, RAMP ETA 3/27

Dealer said, It left the rail yard on 3/20 and it supposed to head this way on 3/27. Predicts it will be here mid-April.

How does all that looks and sound to our forum experts?

Here's the status codes. He's also telling you the travel destinations an time frames by rail.

Call this number, 800-992-1997, let the announcements finish, tell it you are calling for other info, it will ask what make, tell them Ram. It will connect you to a live person who will ask for the last 8 digits of your Vin. They will come back with the staus.

My truck is also in KZ awaiting to be scheduled to ship. When I called today they said everything is at a standstill during the shutdown. They could not give me an eta, which they were able to in the past.

Huh, I've got that link already saved on my home screen. Lol, I've only ever looked at the codes, guess I should of read the details. Thanks John

LOL - been there, done that.

Just tried it, worked just fine. I normally use the ram care site it has it all except the train tracker, that's pretty cool. It will be interesting to see how that works, This is the link I use.

I either use the chat button or the call button, just depends if I'm feeling anti social

From what your site says, don't know if its current or out dated but saltillo Mexico plant gets trucked to new Orleans then goes on rail to hubs for pu. I think new Orleans is on lock down for the virus

I also heard ( don't know how reliable my source is ) that Florida has just started stopping all Louisiana residents/vehicles from entering their state.

That is mostly correct about Florida, the governor was specifying New Orleans and other parts of Louisiana and not necessarily the entire state. How that impacts commercial transportation, etc., who knows. So far the governor hasn't gone hog-wild like other states and essentially ordered all non-essential businesses to close.

I'll be giving my truck a sanitize when she finally arrives. You would have to figure if they allow loads to come into Louisiana that they would alow loads out, but honestly everything is changing from day to day, so who knows would just be a guess

When my first truck came in it was shipped from Mexico to Birmingham, AL by Rail which took just under 7 days. Who knows, it may have made stops along the way to either leave rail cars or to unload some. Once my truck was dropped off/delivered to Birmingham, it took about 2 weeks for that rail drop yard to finally put it on a car hauler to make the final 260 mile journey to my dealer. This took less than 24 hours and I am sure he made more stops along the way. Keep in mind, New Orleans is only 154 miles from my dealer. This makes me wonder if they are still using the rail yard as much in New Orleans.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh boyyyyyyyyyyy, more time just sitting an waiting, i ought to have a stroke by the time it finally arrives. We pay 1695 in destination fees an that's 6 wks between sitting an traveling, just imagine how much they would gouge us for if we actually got the thing a wk after launch date

Wow, 3 wks on rail, that's very disappointing

Yes, Mostly Sitting somewhere. About a week or so on the ground (Jail) in Mexico. Once loaded on the rail it took about 1 week travel time to reach Birmingham . The rest of the time (about 2 weeks) was sitting on the ground in Birmingham awaiting the car hauler to get it. Once he got it loaded, it took him give or take 24 hours to get it to the dealer.

No, the trucks are on rail directly from Saltillo, MX. Depending on where you are and which rail company it's on, your truck can go through different hubs. For instance, mine was shipped on the Union Pacific and transitted through Texarkana, AR up to Council Bluffs, IA before getting trucked on a car carrier the final distance to my dealer.
