2019 Ram Heavy Duty orders - Tell us about yours!

Do actual delivery vs P.O.C. sheet sometime differ? Or is POC really what I can expect the truck will be build as?

It currently shows bed step, so hopefully it will be build with it.

Yeah the POC is exactly what's on order so if something's missing from there make sure you call your dealer and have them add it quickly before the build is ready to go. However if something is unavailable it can hold up your build for quite a while or if it not orderable then the order will get changed to build without it. Your dealer will be notified of that though.

Okay thanks. The POC is exactly what I ordered.

One thing I wanted was the Bed Utility Group because it had the bed liner and the step, but apparently supply issues w/r/t the step are preventing orders from selecting that option right now. So, just added the liner as its own option and I'll hopefully be able to bolt on the step sometime later.

Confirmed by @Rich that the step is introducing issues, and if you successfully ordered with the step, it may be built without it for now.

Yup, i could care less about that step, I'm not going to let that delay my build. I priced the step on mopar an it shows $335 an my salesman said add 15% to that for your inconvenience. So im trying to get them to knock off around $400 on my final sales price, id be stoked with that, but we'll see

Especially since they are less coin by going to vender.

Honestly, I never liked where it was mounted anyway. To me personally, I can't understand why they put it back at the rear bumper. If I wanted to step up at the back I would just step on the bumper . Imop , I'll probably just get one for 1/3 price an mount it behind drivers side cab at the front of box where you all ways need to reach over but cant unless you climb on the wheels.

Now if ram could swipe fords tailgate step and handle, I’d be all in!

Come on boz, just grab a cleat, you don't need a elevator, we could always get yah a plastic step with a rope. Haha lol just whipping on yah

All my years of manual labor catching up, I can still lift a leg and climb onto the tailgate, but stairs would be nice. LOL!

I'm with yah, that's what bouncing around in a mack truck will get yah for 25yrs. No disks, and nerve inpingement

I’ve had a fusion done, couple discs above that, questionable. Hopefully, I figured things out early enough to enjoy about 20 more years before I am slobbering in my cornflakes.

Hahaha. Yer braver than me. I'm to chicken to go under the knife, dr said it could go either way. I told him ill just keep self medicating. Guess it's either my liver or a possible botched back job, so I'm taking my chances with the liver

My knees are bad and getting worse (Osteoarthritis) and I'm thankful I now have that step and the location at the corner is perfect for getting into and out of the bed with the tailgate down. This truck is currently only about an inch taller than my 04.5 (has larger tires) and when I replace the factory junk and go up one size, it will only get taller. Often, I use the tire and go over the side, but this is so much easier - if the 5th is not attached.

I also plan to add an AMP step at the front of the bed for getting into the toolbox.

I received notice from RAM Chat last week that all the parts are in for my vehicle build and it's awaiting assembly. I have the Bed Utility Group and there was no mention of a part shortage on the step. Of course that doesn't mean RAM Chat has access to that kind of information if a part was shorted, etc.

Oh well, we'll see. First time I ear about a problem with the steps. Must be a long term thing.

I'll do the same thing, just get after market any put at front of bed for tool box. To love golf: mine was built an put in storage over a weak ago awaiting more inspections. I call or chat on ram chat 3x a wk an they never said anything about the step. It was my salesman at dealership that called an ingirmed me an asked what i wanted to do after it was there in storage for a wk.

Once I get word my vehicle is built/window sticker, I'll ask my dealership if they know of the step not being installed. Otherwise, I can only assume I'm getting the step as ordered.
