I think train horns are yet another tool to use against people that might want to impede my path while they’re protesting some boogey man. In my case, I don’t have the horns…..yet, so they get the ranch hand up close and personal.
Although I buy batteries at Wally World, I don’t let them touch my truck…..they are even worse than the dealerships in my book. Sometimes, we don’t have a choice and I understand, but that is my stance at this point in life.
I looked long and hard before I bought my truck, 4:10 gear was a must for me. Sad that they don’t offer it anymore but if you want it now, you are going to pay. Nothing is cheap and easy. My advice would be to skip the 3.73 and go right to 4.10. My 17 had 3.42, my 01 has 3.55. Both of those...
I have yet to install the winter front on my ‘21. I do not drive it much in the winter unless roads are dry, but my thinking on it is that the thermostat and shutters do their job and no real need for the cover. If I was in Canada, or the interior of Alaska, it would be a different story. My 01...
Be aware that you maybe looking at putting in a new transfer case as well. Driving on pavement in 4wd is extremely hard on it. Ask me how I know? Been there done that. In my case, the axle shafts and spiders were worn out and drove it home in 4wd, approximately 8-9 miles. Did the axles and...
AAA membership or something like it and do the belt, or at least have it with you, do the flush and fill and keep an eye on fluids and do oil changes regularly and should be fine. Duct tape, electrical tape, fuses, spare fluids, a small tool kit, jack, etc. are good to have along
Did you find signs of mice? Although I can’t help you on the blower motor on the ‘19, my 01 had mice and I would turn on blower and blow all kind of shredded material out the vents. Turns out that they had a nice “crib” built right against the heater core. My son took care of that when he...
Thank you Jimmy07 for pointing this out. The fuel filter changes should have been painfully obvious for everyone. Bottom line, I want to hear how good of a deal acm85 gets. Let’s also not forget, trucks are only “perfect” sitting on the lot once….life happens, first boo boo is the worst, but we...
Maybe not the same company, but still popped up in the search as the right product. Anyway, I do have the kit on my truck and it works flawlessly. Honestly, I don’t use it a lot, but it is there when I want it, like backing the toy hauler up grade into tight spots at slower speed.
I have a 21, but if I were looking, I would look to 18 and back. Or, give it another year or so and look at a new one….mosts bugs will be exposed by then.
