I've been trouble free on the growling noise since the swap, however my truck is going back in tomorrow - the front axle is completely loose. FML.

They "claimed" when they removed the front driveshaft, they could manually turn it and feel the interference between the gears... I'm assuming someone did not preload the pinion correctly. My experience with that though was, whining would be heard either on the throttle or off the throttle. Not...

Yep. Qualifies twice over now for the lemon law. Dealership claims they tried "all 80" combinations of the four-pin connector. It was a 2x2 square plug... new fitment is a rectangle. 4x4 is 16 as far as I know. Oh, and they didn't de-pin it they cut the harness in half and soldered it...

lmao. So.... still at the dealership. If you look up the 2024 part number for the axle assembly - it supersedes to a new part number....this contains a new CAD design. which requires a new CAD actuator. The plugs are different and ram has no bulletin for the new pinouts..... im beside myself...

Yeah, shimming and preloading a pinion is an art. I dont blame them. Just sucks waiting 7 months for a repair... BUT theyve always given me a loaner, and atleast they acknowledged that theres an issue, and continue to try. im happy w that.

$12 bypass cable did the trick - 100% worth it,

New aXLe assembly goes in next week, guess they didnt want to tear it apart.

New 10k front axle assembly goes in next week.

Exactly the same with mine. Going into 4wd makes it go away, going back to 2wd, it may come back immediately or may take a min or two to start the noise.

This is where my truck currently sits. Waited a month for a T-case and now they want to replace the entire front axle assembly. No eta on the part
