This. I want to add a CHMSL for cargo view only. Is this possible? I do not have surround view/360/digital rear view. I DO have the 12". '24 bighorn 2500.
My issue was this : after the first 1000 miles of a brand new truck, the front end hummed most predominantly 50-55mph.
It got worse over time.
When I put in 4wd it would instantly go away, then put back in 2wd, it may come back right away or it may take a few miles.
1st trip to service - y...
They "claimed" when they removed the front driveshaft, they could manually turn it and feel the interference between the gears... I'm assuming someone did not preload the pinion correctly. My experience with that though was, whining would be heard either on the throttle or off the throttle. Not...
Yep.
Qualifies twice over now for the lemon law.
Dealership claims they tried "all 80" combinations of the four-pin connector. It was a 2x2 square plug... new fitment is a rectangle. 4x4 is 16 as far as I know. Oh, and they didn't de-pin it they cut the harness in half and soldered it...
Now I’m 50/50 on pursuing the lemon law.
the 2nd repair attempt was 40sum days and the 3rd is now on day 23. At day 30, think I will notify them of my intention via letter carrier.
lmao. So.... still at the dealership.
If you look up the 2024 part number for the axle assembly - it supersedes to a new part number....this contains a new CAD design. which requires a new CAD actuator.
The plugs are different and ram has no bulletin for the new pinouts..... im beside myself...
Yeah, shimming and preloading a pinion is an art. I dont blame them. Just sucks waiting 7 months for a repair... BUT theyve always given me a loaner, and atleast they acknowledged that theres an issue, and continue to try. im happy w that.
Exactly the same with mine. Going into 4wd makes it go away, going back to 2wd, it may come back immediately or may take a min or two to start the noise.
