I have purchased both the OEM Mopar strut and the generic one. The generic (Chinese mfg.) is similar to yours but that is terrible! Even so, the OEM is hands down worth the extra $!

I actually was able to keep the rear backup camera on, on my 2021 Ram 2500 with the upgraded 12.1” screen. Google “got my backup camera to stay on” My HDRams.com post should be first. Hope this helps, maybe you can test this method out on the Promaster and report back, for others to see.
