I have a 2021 Ram 2500 Tradesman that I was going to add the Power Folding Mirrors to, I already bought the switch and modules, but then I just bought a 2024 Ram 2500 Tradesman.

According to Jimmy if I use those modules it won’t function correctly!

I have searched for a DIY and I can’t find anything. The thread on adding Power folding mirrors to earlier years doesn’t apply to the 2023-24 models. Does anyone have a link or any information or parts list about how to add them on a 2023-24? Thanks

Anyone have any information/parts list or links on adding power folding tow mirrors to a 2023-2024 Ram 2500?

I could get the removal/install instructions for 2024 if you'd like, and wiring diagrams/harness location diagrams for the 2023 mirrors. Do you know what year(s) the parts you have are for? I have power folding side mirrors in my '19 2500 bighorn, but it sounds like it may be all different parts, if I understand correctly?

I would love the instructions! I bought the switch and modules for a 2019-2021 (probably good till 2022). So it looks like the 2023 and up Ram 2500 parts are different. Thanks!

I use this link shared on the challengerforumz for the Chilton library through some random library for all my research:

Password is obion

Don't know how tech savvy you are, but it may be more useful to you to flip through it that way. Would probably be a good idea to compare the instructions from both the parts model years and the truck model year to check for differences and see if you can make it work.

Let me know if you want some of it shared here.

Of course, but my first kid has already moved out and I’m fond of my arms and legs so I won’t be able to pay for it!

Besides Jimmy will probably beat them to it anyway! Support your fellow Ram owners (Jimmy07)!

I’m sorry but that’s just confusing. This being about RAM truck folding mirrors. Not sure what you are talking about here?

When I bought my 2018 the dealer checked the box, and I was like what the heck? He said trust me, you will thank me later. Sure enough, they are not just for stupid lazy people, they are quite handy off road mostly. But car wash, or tight parking they are great also.

I’m not sure why the 2023-24 Folding mirrors are so different from the 19-22? Does anyone have any information on the differences?

The mirrors prior to 2023 were NOT power FOLD or POWER Extend.

The previous years you have to flip the mirrors up by hand for TOW Mirror or Moose Ears! I am not sure the BCM from 2019-2022 would even support the power fold/Extend function. Now yo may be able use the 2022-24 mirros taht are not power adjust?

My 2020 HD 2500 has factory power fold moose mirrors.

However, they are NOT auto folding I have to press the button each time to fold them in or out.

Yep, I want all of that... but with no cameras. Anyone able to do it?
I believe some have done it, might be a thread here somewhere. I know I saw a thread somewhere. Actually here it is:

Putting a `23 and newer mirror on a `22 and older truck is not easy. There are different mirror mountings, so some cutting of the door is needed in order to install. There absolutely are mirrors without cameras, but mounting on a pre-23 truck is not easy.

I have auto power fold, power extend, heat, dimming, and LED lighting, etc. on the mirrors that came on my `24. No cameras though. So those parts do exist. Just not an easy install mechanically or electrically.
