Adding the OEM hidden tailgate strut to any trim.

Every fob already has the circuitry built in. You can confirm by removing the circuit board from your remote and touching a wire on the 2 contacts that would be under the tailgate open button. All you need to do is solder on a button or get a fob that has it already there and get it programmed/program it.
I found the thread to solder the new button on. I have ordered the buttons from Amazon. Thanks.

How quick does yalls tailgates open?

It's an ebay strut, I know. But still curious of how fast it is compared to oem etc. In my head I thought it was a more slow gracious decent
I just installed mine a couple weeks ago. My tailgate probably takes 3 seconds to open and does not slam at the end. I bought the OEM strut.

I have purchased both the OEM Mopar strut and the generic one. The generic (Chinese mfg.) is similar to yours but that is terrible! Even so, the OEM is hands down worth the extra $!

Adding the strut took almost as much time as opening the packaging. Well worth it
Not for me... the 2024 lower access hole is taking lots of skin off my hand.

Would not be hard if someone held the tail gate at an angle so the strut lined right up to it though.

I think people make the install seem harder than it actually is. You don’t have to do anything with the clip. Simply remove the passenger side taillight, open the tailgate, install the strut by pushing it on the ball on top, then go down underneath the truck, and in the corner, you will see the strut hanging down, just push it on the lower ball. If your hands are too large, use a wide flat screwdriver or pry bar, and just push the strut onto the ball. It snaps in place very easily.
