Howdy y'all, so I recently took the 2021 3500 SO to the snow, and upon leaving it refused to defrost. Even when It heated up it simply wouldn't defrost the windshield. The air was hardly blowing across it in defrost mode. Is this a known issue? Thanks in advance.
Not sure about dealers but I almost jumped on a 2500 mega cab last year, until I looked at the payload! Was 1200 lbs or something. Anyway that's why I got a 3500 mega instead.
Thanks for the links and info! I think it's part of Cummins marketing to not state outright that the engines are essentially the same. They always make it sound like the HO is more robust. But it makes sense not to manufacture two greatly different engines and camshafts, flywheels etc.
Howdy. I have a 2021 Standard output 3500. It is extremely quiet. The manual doesn't say anything about having to adjust the valve lash at 150k. I have done extensive searching online and on this forum and I cannot find a definite answer to the following question:
Does the standard output have...
The trucks are shipped with high pressure to eliminate flat spots from sitting.
Ram recommends 65 front, and 80 in the rear.
This is for liability reasons. They don't have the room on the door jamb for an entire chart. So they recommend maximum pressure, as if you're going around towing at...
No it doesn't. On hills you shouldn't be in cruise control.
Upper is like 260? Super high. Not sure on the trans
Not essential for the mechanics of the truck. It's not going to hurt anything by not calibrating. It just won't be accurate with regard to speed and MPG's and total mileage
Found this in the owners manual. I wonder if this could work? Dealer programmable also.
IDLE SHUTDOWN
This feature can be enabled so that the truck
will automatically shutdown when the truck has
been idling for a set period of time when the
engine is at operating temperature. Idle time
can be...
Ok, so click remote start while it's running? Then it goes into it's 15 minutes of idle?
Or shut it down then remote start it?
As I understand it, you need oil flowing over the turbo bearings until it cools off. Otherwise it's like oil burning onto a cook stove.
Howdy, I feel like an idiot sitting in the truck for five minutes while whoever I'm with goes into the store/restaurant/etc. Obviously I'm letting the turbo cool down like the manual says after heavy towing and getting straight off the highway.
2021 3500 SO, SRW.
What do you do? Just shut er...
Just had a LEER 100XQ put on my 2021 RAM 3500. Bought it new from the LEER dealer locally, paid 3700. There are major defects with this canopy, missing felt liner, problems with the glass coating, paint defects, and water intrusion. I'll post pics soon. Apparently they'll make it right, but...
How often is it regening? Mine seems like a lot, but if I go by engine hours it's only every 24 like a previous poster said. Also why add additives? Doubtful it would cause frequent regens, but still.
