Let’s see your wagons with 35 and 37’s

Can someone here tell me what a PW on stock suspension measures in overall height with with 35’s VS 37’s?

I wish it wasn’t the case, but there are a few parking garages I need to squeeze into. I believe a stock wagon is about 6’6” and I’ve got thes lowest garage at 6’10” on the signs.

There's vehicle to vehicle variation as well as tire to tire. Best thing is simply measure your truck as it sits. If you have a buddy and a level, it's pretty simple, stand in the bed and use the level from the top of the skark fin.

Then you can just add 1/2 of the tire increase for whatever the new height would be (it'll be slightly shorter with sidewall flex, but it'll give you max height.

This ^ is the best advice (to measure). But I think a stock Power Wagon is 80.9 inches in height, which is basically 6' 9" (which is 3 inches more than the 6' 6" you mentioned). If you go from the stock 33-inch tires to 35 inch tires, you are adding about 1 inch in overall height. If you go up from there to 37-inch tires, you are adding another 1-inch in overall height. So - in theory - going from 33-inch stock tires to 37-inch tires, you would move from 81 inches to 83 inches in overall height. But @Docwagon1776 is correct - not all "35s" are the same height, and the same goes for "37s". So you really need to measure your truck before you gun-it into a parking garage ;)

I can tell you about mine, which is labeled a "Power Wagon Rebel" which might might be lower than the PW. My garage door is exactly 82" at the doorway trim. The shark fin is the highest point, and it clears that trim by about 3/4 of an inch, so 81.25" The highest point of the cab is lower by another inch or two, near the back center of the cab and hard to measure. If it was possible to get rid of the shark fin without affecting other things, mine would be gone. Just to give a little more clearance when there's snow or ice on the driveway before I get a chance to clear it.

Well, here she is in her natural habitat. No lift. 37"x12.5 Nitto's on +18 offset Raceline's. Standing proud!

I don't go into any parking garage labeled under 7 foot.
There's one near where I live that's label 7' but the sign at the entrance actually hangs down to 81". Don't trust them completely. Just like modern "7 foot" home garage doors, normally they're framed at 7', then trim layers are added out which cuts another inch or two.
 
I can't believe this thread is still going, when I bought my power wagon a couple years ago new, and was changing from the stock 33s to fitting 37s I take some time off at least a full 2 years and it's still going! Just read the last couple of pages of responses. Seems to be the same old problems and some good advice on solutions. There's only one home garage I was ever able to fit into with my 35s. Mickey Thompson Baja boss. I would have to air down to get in the garage. As someone else's mentioned obviously not all 35-in tires are actually 35 in. Some manufacturers can vary wildly. The Mickey Thompson Baja boss are close to 35 but they are not a true 35-in tire. Neither is the BFG KM3 37 in. Not many manufacturers make a true sized tire. My 37s have been in my garage since the dealership warned me That if they can blame them they will. That came directly from a friend that works there as a tech. Now that I've got the electrical gremlins going on. A lot more worried about that. I've taken many trips into the mountains in the 35s, highway travel logging roads etc and had no problems with clearance or worried that sharp shavings from mountain roads would cut the Mickey Thompson's. I was running those when not towing, 45 in the rear and 38 in the front. When they would heat up, it would end up being 50 in the rear and about 43 in the front. I always put an extra 5 lb in the rear tires when towing my 3,000 lb off-road trailer. My 37-in KM3's are brand new still with the nibbles on them. I think I only put about 1,000 km on them before I switched over to the Mickey Thompson Baja boss. I'll be putting on the 37 soon. I always use the chalk method to see what air pressure you use. I've been doing that since somebody taught me at 20s odd years ago with my Jeeps. Works well with the big trucks too. I have never measured my Jeep or any of my lifted vehicles by the fin or it's highest point such as a rack etc It makes sense as the fin is attached to the truck. But I always measured to the top of the roof. This might have been discussed a few pages back but as I saibeen the last two years this thread has grown immensely! That's good to see.

The stock Duratracs are metric 285’s not US 33” tires. I had a ‘14 PW & now a brand new ‘24 PW, both came with same OEM tire. The ‘14’s Duratracs measured 32.75” at about 14k miles before I swapped to 37’s & the ‘24 Duratracs measured 32.4” w/ 200 miles before swapping to 35’s.
