It should still regen with the P2459, but if it gets to the point where It says "exhaust filter full power reduced" you will have likely set code "P242F DPF Ash Accumulation" which inhibits regens because it thinks the filter is full of ash.
At that point you would have to reset the DPF timers...
That code should not cause a derate, worse case you may get a power reduced derate if the filter reaches a certain soot load, but you will not get a 5mph derate for soot loading, the 5mph derate is for DEF/NOX issues.
I also wouldn't clear the code if you are planning on taking it to the dealer...
The coil in the relay is your load, no need for a fuse or resistor between the relay and VSIM. You should have an appropriate fuse on the 12v side though
I'm curious to hear how other 19+ trucks are responding to this new filter with glue strips, my truck hated it, but I have a '22 that seems to be more sensitive compared to other years.
The new AF27684 looked more white compared to the old mopar filter that i had. When I replaced the new part # filter that my truck didn't like i snapped a Pic of all 3 to compare the differences.
Crappy new filter on left, new AF27684 in center, used, questionable over oiled mopar filter on right
Are you using the newest MAF, the one made in China?
My truck started having issues last fall, soot load was building faster than normal, less than 24hr regens, soot load not burning off as quickly while towing. I originally thought it had an over oiled mopar air filter, but now I question that...
Has that PID ever read anything? I'm pretty sure that the BARO PID you have listed is read from the MAP on the air filter cover and the other reading you have is from the intake horn sensor.
Are you using the new part # air filter with glue strips?
The flat tappet engines cams had the same number of bearing journals, but they had no bearing inserts, the cam journals rode directly on the block except for the end journals, I believe the old 5.9's only had a bearing on the gear end.
They started putting bearings on all of the journals on the...
I worked at a school district from 2011-2019 and the majority of our fleet had the DT's, they were generally reliable, but they had some issues depending on what version you have. Is yours a single VGT or does it have the compound turbos on it?
My '22 has been on a downward trend for the last few thousand miles. When the truck was new I could get to the 24hr timed regen pretty consistently. At about 22k it was getting harder to get to that point and I started to have more soot load regens. Last summer I think I got an over oiled air...
I dont know if the 2024's have the same wheels, but on my '21 I had to machine the nut slightly to allow more thread engagement on the stem, but if I had to do it again I wouldn't go through the trouble with the Ram system, the axles are too far away from the receiver at the bumper, the rear...
I had a belt separation on one of my fronts at 23k, I felt a vibration coming back from my last camping trip, once I got home a saw the bulge on the right front, I now have Falken at4's in a 255 size
