VSIM Relay Wiring Question

On the topic of powered locks for a topper, those systems seem to want a +12V trigger signal, whereas the lock/unlock signals from the VSIM module appear to provide ground when activated. If I were to use relays to derive the +12V signal from the ground signal, is there any kind of resistor, diode, fuse, etc. needed to limit current into the ground signal wire from the module? The user guide indicates a max of 0.5A, there is nothing demanding current by way of power draw, but also no resistance other than wire to limit the current. Thanks!

The coil in the relay is your load, no need for a fuse or resistor between the relay and VSIM. You should have an appropriate fuse on the 12v side though
