Nice conversation, and relevant to me right now. I have a 22 Tremor (7.3) that just landed. I'm having second thoughts and am considering a 6.7 Rebel. I need need something that is decent offroad and tows well. I only tow ~9k lbs but have a TALL trailer with some serious wind drag. Combine...
Not impressed. No front locker, no 35" tires, no winch w/ the Cummins. What would make it special is if they had made the Power Wagon with a diesel option, rear bags for additional payload/towing help. The Rebel isn't even as good as Ford's Tremor package...
Yeah, I have a '20 PW and realize what they are (and aren't). I have a F250 Tremor on order - need something that can tow a bit more while not being entirely worthless offroad. Ram's offroad package is a joke. I guess I'll stick with the Tremor when it comes in.
Funny you post this. I just sold my 20 Power Wagon and ordered a 22 f250/tremor. If Ram brought out something similar, I'd probably cancel my order and buy the Ram.
@jadmt Thanks for the reply! I recently sold my 2020 Power Wagon (6.4) in favor of the 7.3 Really appreciate hearing your opinion! I ordered the 4.30s as well.
Problems like ^ are what I was worried about. I did end up ordering a Ford 7.3 but may change to a Ram 6.7 if I can get my mind around a delete/tune that would work. I'm a mechanical dude but don't know much about diesels in general. For now, I am happy with the thought of a 7.3.
Fuel economy was (is?) one of my worries w/ the 7.3. However, I've done a bit of napkin-ing on it. With the price of diesel (over the past 2 years), it's a wash. Either truck will be a long wait so I'll have a while to sit back and think about and second guess myself. Thanks guys.
I only tow ~10k. However, it has a large frontal area (wind resistance) and we have substantial grades.
I'm going to put an order in today and am 90% sure I'm going with the 7.3. Thx everyone!
