    2023 RAM 2500 HD

I've driven vehicles with column shifters, console shifters, buttons, and now the dial in my DT. Frankly, I like the dial the most. Took me all of 2-3 days to get used to it coming from a console shift vehicle and now it's my preferred shifter.

    2500 vs 3500

I'm thinking about upgrading from my DT to a 2500 this fall/winter. 90% of the time a 1500 is more than sufficient for my purposes, but it's borderline the remaining 10% of the time. I have no desire to deal with a 3500 as a daily driver--last year I test drove a MC 3500 SRW HO back to back...

Payload on 3500 MC Ram boxes

You can search for a truck with those specific features on the Ram new inventory search page: https://www.ramtrucks.com/new-inventory.ram_3500.2021.html?modelYearCode=IUT202115&radius=25. Find one that meets those criteria and plug it in the towing guide link and you can get your numbers.

Why did you buy a 2500

I don't have a 2500 yet, but I'm planning on upgrading from my 1500 this fall, or whichever year the updated cab comes out. The max I tow is ~6k and I'll be towing for work 4-5 times a year up and down the east coast and going as far west as Chicago. I don't like towing with a gas engine, so...

why do people bash ram trucks so much?

I'm not brand loyal by any stretch of the imagination, but when I got my DT in 2018, it was the clear front runner when I cross shopped it with the F150 and Sierra 1500. I've had my 1500 for about 2.5 years now and will be upgrading to a HD this fall--I've had zero issues with my truck and plan...

    Speed Limit Indicator

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the optional HUD that comes with UC5 (whenever that'll roll out to the HDs) can display the speed limit.

Haven't seen this kind of comparo before

    Mega Cab vs Crew Cab

I've got a '19 DT, planning on upgrading to a 2022 HD next fall/winter. The wife has said the MC is out because of how it looks, but if the HDs are still 4.5G then, I'll likely end up sticking with a DT since the CC size on the 4.5G is a dealbreaker, along with a few other things that come with...

2021 Ram 3500 Returns Gets More Torque & Best-In-Class Towing Numbers:

Not mentioned in the press release, but the website says the HO got bumped to 430 HP: https://www.ramtrucks.com/2021/ram-3500/capability.html Shame there appear to be no updates for the SO.

2021 Ram 2500 with Rambox question

If he's saying you have to switch to a 5'7" bed, he's building you a 1500, not a 2500. There is no 5'7" bed for the 2500 and 3500, just 6'4" and 8'.

Anybody Have Any Issues with the new HD's yet?

    Same on my '19 1500, I think that's a Sirius issue.

I suppose there's a non-zero chance this is good news for the true 5th gen HDs

Yeah, I've read the same, though it's not outside the realm of possibility that FCA pulls a switcheroo. That said, it's far more likely something else will be produced in the meantime, but I'm drawing a complete blank on what vehicle(s) it could be. I can't see FCA leaving the factory running...

    Door sticker

I found a number of SRW SB MC Limiteds in a 150 mile radius of Washington, DC, you could try checking out one of the zip codes in that area to search. Didn't see any with the CC, but there were at least 5 MC ones with the specs you're looking for that would at least give you a ballpark payload...

Trying to decide whether to upgrade from 1500 to 3500 in a year or two

Test drove this loaded 2500 6.7 MC today. I liked it! Butt dyno says the SO is a shade less peppy than the HO, but still peppier than my 1500's V6. The ride seemed to be a happy medium between the 1500 and 3500 ride, quite acceptable for DD duties. It's got a few options I won't get, the MC...
