Didn’t think to use 4x as the driveway is asphalt and it was dry. Thought that could mess things up. So just 4lo and take it slow nothing should break?
Hey all. I have a ‘20 3500 6.4 gas. My driveway goes downhill towards the house and it’s fairly steep but levels out at the bottom. I have a 8k pound travel trailer that I park at the bottom of the driveway and I don’t have any issue at all backing the camper down. Well today I rented a dump...
Searched and haven’t found much info on this. My 3500 has a hill assist where if I put the truck in drive on a steep grade it will hold still until I press the throttle. I have found it pretty useful.
Does any one know more about it’s limits as in with a heavy load hooked up. Is it just holding...
I searched for the answer to this but didn’t see anything. Can someone explain how they come up with the different GVWR between the hemi and Cummins long bed srw 3500’s? The GVWR on the hemi long bed is 11400 pounds vs 12300 for the Cummins long bed . I understand the diesel weighs a lot more...
Don't be like me and assume the truck comes with a brake controller and buy the truck without verifying it has it. Luckily my dealer installed it at no charge after I threw a little hissy fit.
After a quick call to FIL he came rescued me with his Chevy Dually. We ended up hooking chain to frame of trailer right behind the bumper and pulled truck and trailer straight back. It was pretty sketchy and but everything survived intact. Tore up the yard pretty good. Lesson learned. I’m going...
Well thought today would be a perfect day to hook up the trailer and take it for a spin for the first time. Sunny and mid 50’s today. Had a tropical storm come through Thursday and a light shower yesterday morning, but everything seemed to be dried up. Pulled forward into grass so I could back...
the only time I couldn't find my odometer was when I had the cruise control set. I was scrolling through every page trying to find my mileage then I turned my cruise off there it was
My hitch pin for a 2 inch receiver wouldn’t work, so I went shopping for one for a 2.5. Walmart didnt have any. I ended up with a no name 4 dollar 5/8 pin with a grab handle from a hardware store. It fits fine, but the packaging had no specs or weight ratings at all. I’m not sure if I should...
Same thing happened to me. Twisted knob into drive and wouldn’t go. Turned it back to park let my foot off brake and tried again and it got into gear. Not sure what that was about
New 3500 6.4, excited to see how this tows compared to the Nissan it replaced. Hooked it up to see how much squat and I measured 1.25 inch for approx. 7900 gvwr camper.
