I think this came in the truck underneath the back seat when I pick it up from the dealer but have not a clue what it is.

Used to connect all wires that go into tailgate when tailgate is removed. Snaps into same place as connector from tailgate. Helps you not lose the wires and keeps the connectors free from dirt. Got to use it recently when my tailgate was taken off for repair work.

Thanks , I guess I should put it back under the seat in case I need it one day.

Well there's not just one, but most sub forums have a list of stickies at the top of the forum page. Usually a search for the part number or topic/item yields a result.

We're just having fun at your expense as this one in particular used to come up at least once a week.
