I guess I will revive this thread with my gear. In September I purchased a 2019 Laramie with the 6.4 in delmonico red. The RAM site says I have a 3200# payload capacity. I tow an approximately 6000 pound Outback Terrain 210TRS. Only about 24 feet long but about 900# plus on the pin. We use an Equalizer WD hitch with sway control. My former vehicle a 16 Tundra was crushed with all the pin weight, hitch weight, gear inside and tonneau cover along with passenger weight. I replaced the 2 inch shank with a 2.5 inch shank when I got the Ram and good thing. The 2 inch shank had a very noticeable bow in it.. The shank had a 1000# capacity and the new one has a 1400# capacity. I've only towed twice with it, the first time a test run of about 60 miles and the second time about a 250 mile round trip. I was pleased to see about 10mpg, which was what I was getting with the Tundra. The stability of towing with the Ram is a 1000% improvement and the Tundra wasn't that bad. We towed that trailer cross country 2x and probably put 20K miles on the trailer or more. It did get nerve racking getting sucked into and then spit out of the wake of every tractor trailer that went by. From what I could tell with the Ram, that will be greatly improved. The body drop after adding the trailer and over 1000 pounds of cargo is under 2 inches with WD. Very impressed with that part of my ownership.
