To answer the question what do I tow? Here is what I am towing. I have no problem towing this 2022 Keystone Cougar 23 MLS 5th wheel. It’s not too wide, long or tall and because of that, I go anywhere with no RV park restrictions. Trailer length is about 30’, truck about 10’. No more than 40’ total length. Trailer Height is about 12' 9" to the top of front Air Conditioner.

Did you say your trailer height is 29.5'?

29.5' to the top of the AC unit feels really tall haha. Aside from that it looks like a great rig!

I've got a Cougar 24RDS, which is very similar to your 5er. I just bought my '23 Laramie Mega Cab with 6'4" bed. My Curt Q20 slider is supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. I notice you appear to have a lot of room between the cap and the cab - enough to have your toolbox, even. But my inexperienced (Ram) eye doesn't tell me what you are pulling with.
My last truck was an F350 DRW with 8' bed, so I wasn't concerned about clearances other than bed rail height. That truck was 24' long bumper to bumper - I haven't measured this new truck yet, perhaps tomorrow I'll get out there and do that.
Anyway, I'd be interested in knowing what hitch you are using and if you really have as much room as it looks like you have.

I use a 16K Reese sliding 5th wheel hitch. I have enough room for the turning radius and plenty of clearance for the top rails of the truck bed. Tool box holds all I need for travel. I hope this helps.

Got my 2023 2500 hemi about a month ago. Towing a 2019 KZ Connect 26RB. Can't tell that the trailer is even there. I told my wife that now the truck matches the stripes on the TT, she rolled her eyes!

Just curious what you towed with prior to your hemi. I have a 2022 2500 diesel that I've had so many problems with that I'm seriously considering a gas job. I tow a 9000lb 5th wheel. Thanks

I was towing with a 2018 1500 5.7L hemi. It did pretty well, but I was pushing the payload capacity. My TT is about 8,000 loaded. The payload in the 2500 is 3000. That's one of the advantages with a gas job.

I've only had the 2500 for about a month. Took the TT to my dealer to have the weight distribution hitch adjusted, so didn't really pay attention to the mileage. Taking it to the FL. Keys middle of October. It's about a four hour drive. I'll check the fuel mileage on that trip.
