What did you do TO your RAM today?

After years of dealing with going back to the tire shop for crappy balancing jobs I finally put some Centramatic wheel balancers on the 3500 SRW. Huge improvement, and glad to know this won’t be an issue going forward with whatever wheel/tire combos come my way. Also, I don’t notice any of the noise at slow speeds that people talk about.

Nice. Do the new Rams come with a light near the tailgate handle like the Fords? I've never seen that before.

i guess so, i didnt even know about it until i took the pic lol. this truck seems to have lights everywhere. and i like it. my fav thing so far is the camera system. being able to see what the stuff in my bed is doing is pretty sweet.

Boost Auto S Series Cab lights showed up so took a few minutes (45 minutes actually) after work to install. First picture is of install and the second is of the lights, Yes i know it is not night time but you get the just of it. When with the white running lights instead of the amber. Also didn’t think i really need to go with the turn signal, start up set up. Just the basically white running lights. Love how the all black blends in the with the truck vice having the clear lens on top.

Updated with a picture when it is dark.

I finally got around to finishing up adding trailer tpms. When i pulled up the trailer tire screen and tried to set a pressure it was stuck on 409 and would not pair. I ended up deselecting ttpms with jscan then reenabling it and then i was able to select the correct air pressure in my case 80lbs. After that the pairing process went smoothly.

Yep, and now that we have a remote open tailgate with a light and backup camera Ford has a tailgate with remote open and close with a light and backup camera near the handle and one in the top edge of the tailgate so you can still "see" when backing with the tailgate down.
Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in... ;)

I know, right!

For some reason Ford dropped the camera and sensors in the tailgate top edge from the 2025s. Maybe it’ll come back later but right now it’s not an option.

Probably because people who actually load stuff up in those "short beds" kept breaking them due to them hanging stuff over the top of the gate.

Eventually fitted the AVS bonnet edge protector with the lights incorporated still need to do the wiring.
Also got around to run breather hoses from the diffs gearbox and transfer box to under the bonnet, look carefully at the engine bay photo the black pvc looking pipe curled on-top of the rocker cover. I still need to measure and get a bracket laser-cut to mount them with the original oneway valves/filters to tidy it up.
If anybody is wondering why the breather extensions, its for deep water crossings and we are having some family coming over to visit us in Australia over Dec/Jan and where we are going is very very likely that we will do river and creek crossings and especially the front diff breather is lower than the top of the diff casing. I will post photos and videos when we do water crossings.

Finally finished up installing a few items from NH Overland (Baja Designs rear S2s, Antenna mount, GMRS mount, firewall pass through, headrest hanger). The wiring for my GMRS radio is somewhat temporary. For those using a firewall pass-through, like the one from NH Overland or the Daystar firewall boot, what are you doing to prevent water intrusion?

I realize the 3db gain stubby antenna from Midland isn’t ideal, it’s more of a placeholder. When I go out on the trails, I’ll install the 6db gain which doesn’t fit on the truck when I have it in the garage.

Looks great, i love my backup lights! I used a ziptie to make the boot close up around my wires.

On Saturday, I tapped a pole at sheetz, center of the bumper is crushed in. Saturday night, while backing into an alley, I took out the passenger mirror. 900 dollar mirror lesson and I have not found a bumper yet. This truck is huge compared to my Jeep gladiator. I just need to get use to that and shaving twice a day now. LOL
