Unusual Wear on factory tires

Noticed this past weekend that the rear tires on my Tradesman are worn much more than my fronts. Truck doesn’t tow heavy and had a gauge put on it. 10/32 in the front. 6/32 in the rear. Even wear and cold psi on the tires is 60 psi. Any ideas as to what is going on? 14,000 miles on it. Was planning on doing a rotation at 15k with oil change

The owners manual has the rotation interval at 7,500 miles.

That’s even a little long for me on these trucks with how much torque they make.

If you’re mostly empty 60 psi is likely too much for the rears. Empty I run 55/35 on my truck. Too much pressure makes the tires harder and they slip easier.

I’m getting decent wear out of the transforce AT’s, better than I got out of the HT’s.

Maybe I should lower them a little. I’m surprise at 35 your tire light isn’t on

I run 40/35 hot in my 35x12.50 17s. Also have it aligned to Thuren specs. Rotate every 5K miles.
Nice even wear all around. I adjusted my TPMS threshold down with AlfaOBD so it will not alarm.

I run 70 psi up front (Cummins) and 60 psi in back. I've got 25,000 on the stock Firestones and there at 7/32". Not to bad. The dealership asked if I had replaced tires already. They were surprised they were the original tires. Me too, cuz I've towed my 10k 5th wheel from TN to NorCal twice. I've only rotated them once at 8,000 mi until yesterday at 25k .

My trashforce rears were 1/2 bald at 6k miles they are terrible tires for tire wear and traction in my experience

I have 34,000 on the original Transforce tires. At the moment they all are right at 7/32. Run them at 65 psi all around all the time. They've been rotated three times - at about 7,500, 18,000 & 30,000. I've towed our 10k 5'r 13,500 miles; the rest is about 60/40 city/hwy. I'm about to replace them with a new set of Michelin Defender LTX. Overall, I think they've held up just fine.

Mine were OK for wear but horrible for traction.
Anyway I don't miss them at all.

Similar. I have around 11K miles on my AT and they are wearing decently, much better than the HT's did, but I'm not impressed with the traction for an AT.

33,000 on original A/T firestones. I’m getting tires this Friday but the firestones are almost to the wear bars. I rotate once a year and run 60 psi. I’m pretty light footed but run a full topper all the time. I’d say the OP has a bad set as it seems some have run into. I’ve heard some say they were bald by 20,000.

First thing I did after getting my truck. Only 70 miles and I swapped them with some Falken Wildpeak A/T.

Truck rides so much better! Those Firestones were garbage!

FIRESTONES BAD!!!!!

Mine sucked, on the 18 they were gone within 30K, the 23 yet to be determined.
I don't expect anymore than that. I just traded my 5th wheel trailer in on a new Winnebago DP, so I won't be driving the 2500 much anymore.
