So I just picked up a 2022 Ram 3500 Laramie. Will Ram be offering the UConnect 5 Infotainment software for that model? If so will the offer to the people who have already purchased trucks? Thanks in advance.

The 2022’s should all be UC5 on the 8.4 and 12 display
I guess I am not framing my question properly. How come the Uconnect mobile app does not work with my truck and also, I do not have the Sirius/XM weather and what not that my cousin has in his 2021 1500 for the next 5 years?

You need the RAM Connect app. UConnect app is for older models, like 2014-2018 I think.

This version of the app didn't work for me. I had to use the RAM Toolbox app (android).
That app isn’t for the remote connectivity through Sirius. The RAM Connect app is what you need, but only if you have an active subscription.

Uconnect 5 does not have the weather like older version of serious travel link. It does have a different weather app that’s not to bad when it works.

Thanks for the link. Should've known to search before asking.

I have a Sirius lifetime sub on a portable radio that I will xfer onto the truck's radio at the end of the 6 month SXM trial. Not sure I'll reup the remote app stuff though. $5/mo, maybe. If it would allow the user to select inside temp and turn on heated/cooled seats and heated wheel vs being based on 2 arbitrary fixed temperatures, it'd be more worthwhile to me. The wife's Hyundai is so much more user friendly. It also came with 3 years worth of their remote service included. C'mon Ram.

No, you’re correct. 2019+ use RAM Connect app I believe.
My 2019 limited used rhe Uconnect app (atleast up to this past July when I sold the truck. My 2022 uses the ram connector app. When I was building my 2022, the non nav version of the 8.4 was Uconnect 4. Not sure if that has changed since July or not. I know their have been lots of other package changes since back then.

Looks like maybe it changed after 2019, so 2020+
