On my 2021 3500 there was a ”trailer lights test“ selection that would cycle through the lights while you walked around your trailer to check the lights.
On my 2023 I cannot find the same option!
Both are limited models…. Not sure if it’s me or if there was a deletion on the new Ram.

Thanks for any help (or commiserating )

It's in the evic on my 2022 Laramie 3500.
Scroll down to Trailer Tow. Then right arrow over till you get to Trailer Light Check.

My ‘20 1500 didn’t have it. I believe it was ‘21 and up?

I don't have the light check because I did not order the trailer tow package, but I plan to enable it with alfaobd whenever I get around to purchasing it.

It’s standard equipment on a Big Horn, you should have it.

I will have to check again when I pick my camper back up from the dealer, but I do remember reading somewhere it was only part of that package. Which I learned the first time I hooked up the camper and couldn't do the check

The package I see it listed with is the trailer brake controller package on the tradesman. Basically what I’m seeing is that if you have a trailer brake controller you have the trailer light check.

Now that I’m home looked on my 2020 Bighorn 2500 (8.4 no nav and the smaller display between the tach and speedometer) and I didn’t see any trailer check/test option.

Trailer Light Check started in 2021.

I tried enabling it using AlfaOBD (lying to it that my 2020 BCM was 2021) and it doesn't work.
