Sumo Spring Fitment - 2022 Ram 2500 6-4 bed, 6.4 HEMI

I have Sumo Spring SSR-312-54 (yellow) for my 2022 Ram 2500 6-4 bed.

Has anyone trimmed their Sumo Springs to allow more gap between the spring and axle platform? I need an additional 1/2 inch of gap, and the only way is to trim 1/2 inch off the bottom of the Sumo.

Looking for performance issues from this modification. I understand trimming the Sumo will void the warranty.

The thread above mostly references trailers that are bumper pulls. Does anyone pull a 5th wheel camper (11,000 lb. GVWR) with 1950# (+/-) on the pin using Sumo Spring on a 2022 2500 gasser? If so, which Sumo, Black (-47) or Yellow (-54). Thanks.
p.s., I've looked in the towing thread, not muct there for Sumo use.
