Coming from European cars, I wonder if the HD Rams have the following feature (probably not, though, couldn't find anything in the manual):
When you're parking on an unlit street, you can turn on the roadside parking lights only for better visibility of the vehicle. That's accomplished by simply parking with the indicator/blinker on, which turns on the front and rear parking lights on that side only. Either left or right, depending on which side the indicator is on.
It used to be a feature to limit power draw when parked, since the other side and the tag illumination were off, but maybe with today's LED lighting that's not an issue anymore and one should just use the parking lights instead.
Back in the day, parking lights used to be 5W-bulbs each, so 10 vs. 30W (4 parking lights and 2 tag lights) was a significant saving.
Thanks!
