I am tired of 2020, with all the bs politics, COVID, and lately, the derecho that hit my area. Any thoughts? Going on a week without power. I don’t have it as bad as some, but still lots of unplanned, unscheduled work. Oh the joys of being in the rental business.

I watched this thing converge and tit of the cone was right along I-80 through Iowa. What was going to be a fairly easy week, turned into 18hour days of debri removal and damage assessment, buttoning up roofs, etc. Today? Off to recap a roof, more debri removal, and another 6. Pack to cap off the day.;)

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Frankly, I don't see things getting better on most fronts for quite some time.

The *show that is being performed (bread and circuses) by our elected representation is beyond egregious and will only continue to escalate. November is going to be interesting to say the least.

We've been lucky here work-wise. I'm in IT and already do much of my work remote, the wife is a Nurse, my 2 sons are both auto techs (one Audi, one Mercedes), and all of us have stayed employed.

My work hasn't slowed much, though travel restrictions have hurt me some. Flew a few times Jan-Feb then nothing until a critical trip needed in June for just a few days, and now one a few days next week (?)

Our summer camping (lake) trips have been impacted some by NM closing everything down, but we had a plan B.

Keep your chin up and keep slogging, we'll get out of this eventually.
