Looks like all models base configurations went up about $1,000 ... options package prices remained same.

In what timeframe?

Rising prices is normal, not much you can do about it.

From when I ordered my ‘22 to the time I took delivery the MSRP went up almost $5K.

Just out of curiosity I just "built" my '22 again as a '23. MSRP was right around $78k when ordered, $80,250 when it arrived and now the same truck is $89,430. So the '24 will be over $90k?

That's a Limited without all the adaptive stuff, lane assist, etc.

Curiosity got me too, so I ran my configuration through the 2023 build site. The only things that weren't available now that I ordered back then are (1) Rear Park Sense, (2) Light Mt Brwn bench seats.

Price when I bought = $58,200
Price with disc thru MD = $50,100
Price now = $66,690

That's a 13.8% increase since Dec of 2021 when I place my order....and again it's also minus a couple of options that probably cost me $600 back then. So more like a 14% increase.

It’s going up fast.

From order to deliver was a 5.2% increase in MSRP, and from order until today is a 15.6% increase in MSRP and I can’t even get 2 options that were $1490 MSRP… but there is some stuff that is mandatory that I didn’t buy (12” screen).

The night edition package has gone up 40%… only thing different is the hood.

I paid $59K for my 1 ton dually in 2021, now, at least in my area, you can't get one for much under $80K

Everything costs more now. IMO you should find a lightly used lower-end trim model and then upgrade it yourself with the options/features you really want. Still not going to be cheap to do this but a bit less expensive and it'll be more rewarding to do it yourself.

The thing that frustrates me is that when I build trucks on the configurator, and then go build a new Super Duty in a similar fashion, there's a HUGE price difference with the Ram being much higher even though it's a much older truck with much older powertrain. I don't understand that.

When I select Ram HD, crew cab, 4x4 the price IMMEDIATELY jumps to $55k before I even add stuff. Once I add a few basic options it quickly jumps into the low or mid $60k range. I then go over and build a Ford with Sport appearance, upgraded gas engine, bedliner, and several other things and it comes out to around $55k. What is going on over at Ram? I never thought I’d see the day when they had the most expensive truck on the market.

That's a very good question. All I can say is not even F150's sell as little as $55K in my area

Ive found the prices have gone up as well here in canada, dealership my wife bought her grand cherokee L from asked if they could appraise my 5500 laramie, so i said sure go ahead and price me an identical 23! i kinda wanted the new mirrors, and digital guage cluster anyway. Dropping down to a 4500, with almost the identical build as my 5500, with price increases i was looking at about 6,000$ more than i paid last november for my 22, tack on another 1500$ to that if i wanted to go 5500 again. Granted there was some new technology with the guage cluster, and mirrors. However iam not sure that justifies a 6k+ increase. With trade in i was going to be paying about 220$ more a month. So i decided to sit back and wait for the next refresh which i heard rumour of being 2025? Interest rates are nuts up here right now, i signed at 4.4% back when i ordered my 22, which oddly enough was a year ago today, and now rates are 7%

ive said it before and ill say it again, these trucks are becoming seriously ridiculous price wise, however they will never go down only up! and well all continue to buy them. I am guilty as the next, said id never pay 100k for a truck! nope! not me! ill throw money at my older truck. And here i am. I swear the new car smell is some sort of hard drug. In a few years well be on here bragging about how we were able to swing a base model SLT for 150,000$ at 10% interest over 20 years. I am maybe in a slight different situation than some, ive traded trucks over the years at prime times, and put a ton down on this 22 so i am only paying 300$ a month, but i simply couldnt imagine paying upwards of 2,000$ a month for a truck! even for write off purposes.
