I have a 2020 Power Wagon 6.4.
the oem oil filter is

Mopar (4892339AB)

I have an SRT filter 05038041AA
I have been looking on the mopar parts site, it lists the Challenger 6.4, but not the ram 6.4? can i safely use the srt filter?

I'm looking for an answer here as well. I saw someone on another thread mentioned they ran it on their 6.4. I'm going to have one of each on hand when I have my guys change it and see if the SRT fits. I'll update when I know for sure.

It's SRT, man...

Copied from another forum:
The SRT filter "bypasses" at a higher pressure level. What that means is that oil is filtered longer because the oil isn't bypassing the filter.

The SRT has a finer synthetic filtering media, so it will catch finer contamination particles. The media will hold more of this junk too, so it will technically last longer, by filtering longer.

Yes it will flow more, have better filtration, bypass less, and hold more dirt.

it is slightly bigger around and slightly longer but there is enough space to use the srt. the sealing surface is the same just the canister is a bit bigger.

Saw a episode on engine masters the other day about oil filters.
K&N was top, WIX was second. I've been using WIX for a few years now.

I saw that episode also, they didnt test royal purple filters, i will not use their oil, but their filters are very well designed.

I prefer wix, but i cant find any.

I ordered enough oil and filters for 3 oil changes, some oils are getting scarce and expensive.

Yes that is the correct filter!
Here is a video comparing the SRT to the standard M0899 filter.
Do a search for Filter 05038041AA over at
Rock Auto
it is cheaper there.
The mopar site states this filter does not fit the 2022 Ram 2500 Hemi. I assume this is because this filter is not the one that came with the truck?
