Howdy,

I would like some membership input.
Maybe my expectation is to high.

A new special ordered Ram Truck. 2019 2500 CCSB Big Horn, 6.7L, Billet Silver, Air Ride, Gooseneck

1. Notify me when it arrives off transport truck
2. Dealer vehicle delivery prep
3. Arrange time for customer pickup.

NOT to be driven all over the place. What mileage would you expect to have on a special order truck? maybe 2 miles? That was the Virginia State inspection mileage inputted for the safety inspection sticker on 9/10/19

Picked up truck with 32 miles on it. And there was sh** wrong with it.

Do you expect your special order truck to have lots of miles on it?
Actually notified it was in on 9/26/19. You mean to tell me a special order truck has been at the dealership for more than 2 weeks without telling me?
I was hoping the new TransForce tires had its rubber nipples,(to sell as new take-offs) the dealership was suppose to install new tires. Paid for tires 3 weeks before delivery no less.
Drivers side airbag is screwed up.
Drive home, (Friday, 9/27/19) realize the truck is sitting crooked, drivers side air bag is not placed properly, and is twisted and deformed.
Bring to the dealer first thing (Monday 9/30/19 9:45am)
no offer of loaner, was told I would hear later that day about the air bag. Heard late Wednesday, parts coming, it's now Friday 10/4/19 and no idea about the parts.

RANT OFF.
@RamCares

Please reply with what mileage was on your special order truck.

Thank you

I was going to post something about being jealous that you have two 2019 Rams - like hoarding more than your share :). Now I'm not jealous. I'm not a fan of car dealers, any more so than I am of real estate brokers. I hope they make it right for you.

My last ordered truck had like 4 or 6 miles on it. I'd be furious at 32 miles. That's people test driving it.

Sounds like you need to fine a new dealer...

Between the dealer and MOPAR Chat, I knew where truck was every step of the way.
I passed on the dealer 'prep'... told them to just go through delivery checklist and that I would take care of the rest.
Loaners are really dependent upon the dealer...there are very few in my area that offer a loaner or rental.

I think I had about 6-10 miles when I picked it up...

I think my truck had 28 miles on it when I picked it up. I remember reading somewhere factory road tests are roughly 25 miles. 32miles doesnt seem out of whack to me. I used to work for a commercial truck manufacturer where trucks were road tested on a 50mile loop with quality hold trucks going on a 100mile loop.

Howdy,

It seems all my concerns snowball into the fact that the truck has problems. For a new special ordered truck to be dropped at the dealership with 2 miles on it. OK, that's fine. For the dealership to prep the vehicle and not realize the truck was sitting crooked. For the truck to be at the dealership for a little over 2 weeks before telling me it was in. New tires were ordered, and were not mounted when picked up. They had to order them in. I tracked the truck thru building, train ride, and arriving at the end rail yard, Jessup, MD. I kept calling to find out when it would get a ride to the dealership. That is one of the other reasons why I am pissed. For the dealership to have the truck for weeks, not putting my tires on, and put a bunch of miles on a damaged suspension vehicle.

To me, lack of professionalism.

You could always eat the deposit and go somewhere else. Might be the best thing, considering the problems the truck already has.

Howdy,
I know anything can be fixed. I just would rather have known they had the truck for 2 1/2 weeks, and repaired the damaged air bag, and mounted my new ordered tires. As ready to pickup completely ready.

Anyway, it's all together and fixed.

So wait. Your suspension was ****ed. Your airbags were ****ed up, and it had 30+ miles on it.. am I hearing this correct. Because you just bought a brand new vehicle that's been in a wreck.

Howdy,
Special ordered the truck.
Paid for different tires with dealership to be mounted when it arrived.
waiting.... waiting.... finally saw it arrived to Jessup, MD end of rail yard.
arrived at dealership at some point.
VA safety inspection was done, 9/10/19 with 2 miles on it.
Finally called saying it was there. 9/26/19, went to dealership to pay and pick up truck.
Tires not in, tires not on truck.
truck looked good. The parking lot is not flat and smooth. Did not notice the bed sitting crooked.
Picked up truck, 32 miles on odometer.
drove home
noticed bed was sitting crooked, looked underneath, drivers side air bag was twisted and deformed, not working (air bag not installed correctly at factory or shipping issue) no wreck.
made a appointment for Monday to get the airbag fixed, and tires mounted. (tires came in)
They didn't look at what was needed for airbag fix until sometime tuesday
they ordered parts
waiting..... waiting.... whole week
finally today 9 days later, they say it's fixed and ready.
Picked truck up, all fixed. and new tires on.

The expectation was when they call and said my new truck was ready, it should have been ready. Paid for tires on and operationally correct.

So it came into the dealership 9/9 or 9/10, they did the inspection.
They drove the truck around and put 30 miles on it, and the air suspension was not correct. If they took that time to fix it, before I came to pick it up, that would be fine. But to be there for 2 1/2 weeks, and stuff not ready. That is the part which I do not understand.

Mine had 31 miles on it when I picked it up and I know it was done prior to the truck rolling off the transport.
