Hey guys,

I just picked up a new limited Cummins 2500, would like to put amp power steps on (this has the long running boards).

Anyone have experience installing these? Looks relatively straightforward, especially if running boards are already installed (I’m assuming there are already mounting brackets).

Just curious on general feedback. Thanks everyone!

I installed them on my 2019. Took about five hours. The mounting brackets come with the steps. 729F8B9B-DB66-4716-8F96-7E37C0DCEADB.jpeg

You will need to use the advanced search to search for "amp" as regular search input doesn't like less than 4 characters.

Here's one thread in the Exterior forum.

Limited comes standard with power steps unless someone selected otherwise...

Thank you, mine came with the full length boards instead.

Looks like some have had a tough time with the install, hopefully Amp has tweaked their product.

The install is real easy, but that really depends on how mechanically inclined you are.

One other thing to note since you already have running boards is you will not be able to add the additional reinforcement bracket without drilling out all the rivnuts already installed from the factory. (that can be a real pain) Probably not an issue if you and everyone in you family is on the lighter side but if you are on the heavier side you may want to consider installing them.
