Nav Card vs Full Screen

I have had GPS units before, but this is my first integrated system. I am slowly figuring things out. When I select Nav from the toolbar it puts the map full screen, but if I select Nav as an upper or lower card all I get is a screen saying I don't have favorites, etc. Can't I just get the map screen in smaller scale?

Swipe it to the right (or left).

When you see an underline or dash right below the title of the screen, there are other screens that you can swipe to.

I wish RAM would change the default screen to the map vs. the favorites.
