My Granite Crystal 23 Limited

I’m more worried about the UConnect system than my air suspension .

That’s no joke, the air suspension on my 18 and 22 has been flawless… can’t say the same about the UConnect. I’d take an old radio setup before giving up my auto-level.

Haven’t done much since my last post. Took the truck dirt biking with the kids…

Got some color matched bumper hole plugs from bumperplugs.com

Match perfect, came in 2 days. I’m happy.
Better pics to come.

Tonight we hauled the sled trailer to our cabin to move sleds out while we do some work
In the garage.

Looking at these pics make me think I need bags

Now those factory bags are looking pretty good. Open to bag setup suggestions for rear coil trucks.

Beautiful truck.

I installed Timber Grove bags on my 2500 to aid in 5er towing and they are great. Easy install and I didn’t feel the need for onboard air. I use my Ridgid 18v pump when I hook up and tow.

Thanks! That looks good. Any pics of a load pre/post inflation? I get it that I caused this myself by leveling but damn this is a light trailer , surprised it sagged this much.

Pics of bumper plugs as promised. Forgive the bug grave yard..

Truck looks great. Front lift looks higher than 2". Good info here, thanks for sharing.

Long overdue for an update. I have just over 40k on the truck, and I have had the steering wheel controls go out no less than a dozen times. They have replaced the buttons, the clock spring, reprogrammed things, and finally replaced a harness and the entire wheel again. I am not confident the issue is fixed. In the past the attempted repairs lasted for anywhere from hours to months. Other than that, still love the truck. I've had the BD squadron fogs sitting here forever, hope to get those installed this weekend.

My steering wheel controls went out about a month ago. Have replaced clock spring and now cruise switch, hasn't fixed it. Shop is stumped. I can't access the dash menus and for some reason the backup alarm got turned on, super annoying.

If changing components at the steering wheel end isn’t resolving the problem then I’d probably check the other end of the connections. My guess would be the CAN Bus block, but you’d need to check wiring diagrams (or ask @Jimmy07) to be sure.

The steering wheel thing is infuriating. The wheel has been replaced a few times, button assembly on face of the wheel, clock spring, harness..

Each time they confidently let me know the problem has been fixed. I have zero faith in the fact it has been resolved each time I leave the dealer. Just failed again last night. I've only had the truck back for a week or so.
Super annoyed.

Yesterday I had some Falken Wildpeak AT4w’s installed. My At3w’s were on my 20 2500 for 13k before it was totalled. The wheels and tires were moved to my 23, and I got another 43k out of them. I could have/would have squeezed out another 5k ..but I had the time yesterday and I dont like to push it in the winter months. Excellent tires, I highly recommend these.

Hey Relbus, do me a favor and stop posting pictures. I've convinced myself I'm ok with the stock wheels and don't want to spend the money on new ones, then I see your pictures and think hmm, maybe I really do need better looking wheels. :D

That looks great. Agree on the Falkens, I just put a set of AT4W's on mine a few weeks ago. I think I only had 48k on them, had some life left but same as you, heading into winter I can't run on almost worn out tires. I tend to get 2 winters on a set of tires, end up right around 50k on the tires after 2 years though I'm driving my truck a bit less these days so we'll see.

Do you have just a bit of poke with the +18? Need that offset to avoid rubbing?

:D I will try Lol.
Thank you. Sounds like we have about the same tire change interval and plan. Yes, just a bit of poke. I've had +18 on a few trucks with flares and its great. I have heard you may need it to avoid rubbing control arms. I had intended to mount the tires on my stock wheels but the tire shop wouldn't do 12.50 wide tires on stock wheels. I was already unsure if I wanted to keep stock wheels and that was all I needed to hear to push me that direction.
ON a truck without flares, its too much poke for me. I couldn't drive the truck on wet roads at all without slinging crap all over the sides. I had the +18 for less than a week on my 2013 before adding flares to help keep the sides of the truck clean. This pic may help illustrate how much poke..

Was the BD light bar a relatively easy install? Toss a significant amount of light even mounted behind the lower grill?
