My 2023 Lonestar is on the farm!

Received my truck April 20th! Not bad since ordered 12/10/22…..

So far 600 miles getting her broke in and getting acquainted, love this beast!!! So far two small “whoops” to report. I had ordered the Cold Weather package and discovered no electric cord so took it back to the dealer. Service tech crawled under and discovered the block heater had not been installed so thats being ordered by the dealer.
I also, after watching the short video tutorials, noted I was missing a plug (as shown) that attaches to the tailgate side when removing the tailgate. I have the snap in plate for the bedside connection but not the tailgate side. Dealer completely stumped as they had never seen that before yet there it is in the video (unknown if new for ‘23). They dont even show it as an order-able part on the “STAR” site.
None the less I love this truck!!!!!
Only modifications so far was swapped the CHMSL cargo bulbs to LED and in the process of swapping the interior cab lights to LED. Cargo lights add way more light to bed!!!!

I'm not seeing your (as shown) of the missing plug. Here is mine, are you missing something different?

Did you get the winter front? Or did they further get the winter package on the build sheet?

Luckily the block heater is installed in all the trucks, but they don’t all get the chord. It’s much easier to add the chord than the heater.

Yes, there is another plug/cap shown on the video clearly. It slips over the plug that they recommend you duct tape to the tailgate to help stop corrosion if stored.
Winter front included but the entire block heater and cord missing. Dealer is installing……

Are you sure the block heater is missing too, and not just the cord? That’s something Cummins installs on every motor before it leaves the plant and gets shipped to Ram for install.

The plug in the video is not the correct connector for a Gen 4.5 HD, so it doesn’t apply to our trucks. Even if you were to find one it wouldn’t connect to the tailgate.

The service tech crawled under the truck to retrieve the cord and discovered the cord and the “heater connection” were both missing. Im not aware of precisely what he was talking about but he did say both of theses parts shown will be installed here.
