Can some tell me what these are and how to operate them? They are little led lights on the bottom of the tow mirrors.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but i got a set of the towing tech mirrors to retrofit on to my tradesman mainly in the name of adding surround view to my truck. But anyway, i noticed i've got these nice little auxiliary reverse lights in the mirrors now, but i can't seem to get them to work, can one of you guys with AlfaOBD get me an ECU dump so i can try and find what i need to enable in AlfaOBD to get these working? Thanks.

For anyone else who retrofits these mirrors, with help from Jimmy07, he gave me the names of the values i had to enable in alfaOBD, they are:

Doors: Mirror Rear Guidance Lights: Yes

Doors: power convex mirror: Yes

I couldn't find them yesterday because i was using the android app, I had to use the windows version of Alfa to force it to show me the BCM options for a 2020 2500, once I was in there they stood right out.

Gotta say i'm really impressed with these LED's, they're mean little bastards and throw way more light than I would've expected. I took this picture last night in my garage:

ok... thread resurrection #2. How do I get these lights to come on when I'm in reverse? The come on when I turn the cargo lighting on, but not in reverse.

2020 Ram 3500 Dually, Laramie truck.

Afaik you have to manually turn them on with the cargo lamps... Once they're turned on they'll automatically go off when you put it in drive and they'll automatically come on when you put it in park or reverse until you shut the truck off.

Thanks. With a dually, it'd be nice for these to come on when reversing...

They do function with my truck in reverse, but not automatically (you have to turn them on)

Yeah I can turn them on with the cargo light switch, just a pain. Guess it is what it is though...

Sí, puedo encenderlos con el interruptor de la luz de carga, es solo un dolor. Aunque supongo que es lo que es ...
lamentablemente se apagan automaticamente cuando el camion esta dando marcha atras

I did a thing.

I molded a little shroud out of Sugru to block the light source so I don’t dazzle myself with them when using the mirror to reverse.

We will see if it stays stuck or if I have to augment it with some 3M tape. But so far, so good.

Thanks I've been looking for them. Saw what looked like a light but didn't know how to turn them on.
