I'm looking to order a Power Wagon in the next few days. The question I have is that the Level 3 group has 90% of the additions that the Safety Group has, but the Safety Group does not go down in cost when you select Level 3. Am I missing something here, or is Ram really that messed up? (By the way I did search this topic and didn't find anything)

See below for what I mean:

Doing blind spot and digital mirror on your own afterwards will cost you roughly 2k and your time just fyi. Pretty sure you cant easily do the other three at all so $2185 is prolly worth it if you want those features.

I think it's worth it personally. I don't have all of the safety group, but most of it. I don't have the blind spot stuff, which is fine. The Adaptive Cruise Control is a pretty nice feature, and I can see the Digital Rearview being pretty handy when towing a trailer.

I know when I ordered my truck the actual poc with the von was about 1k less then the first poc with out the von.. I was told that was because of the common items in the different packages..the first poc w/o the von did not reflect that..

Thank you all for the replies. I ordered today and went ahead with the safety group (due to the replies here), though now my wife tells me she doesn't love the Adaptive Cruise Control, which was the number 1 reason I got it. I still think it is worth it for the blind spot monitoring alone with a truck this size, and I'm happy with the deal I got, so what's $2K on $70K? This is my order:
Power Wagon
Granite Crystal 2-tone
Level 3 Equipment Group
Engine Block Heater
Ramboxes
Rambox Utility Group
Tonneau Cover
Bed Utility Group
Power Sunroof
Safety Group

My sales associate told me the sunroof is on constraint and might take a long time, so I am seriously contemplating that.

Good point, but I'm really doing some soul searching about whether I want a sunroof or not. Honestly, I've never really used them much on cars I had them on in the past, and my wife is insistent on them but doesn't use them. However, I do like being able to open the shade for natural light occasionally. But, if I really don't think I'll use it, I might cancel. As of now, I'm going to give it a few days and see what my sales guy says.

I'm the same way.. I went with it as its not much more and I do use it sometimes..I'm just saying there's people who have ordered loaded trucks that have recieved them quick and people who cut options and had it take a while.... seems to be a roll of the dice...
