Thats gotta have a heck of a pin weight....not trying to be a downer but isn't that more dually territory?
Pin is around 3200#, and it is just me and my bride, just over 300# and 2 10 pound puppies. The truck has 4000# payload and air ride. Lest I forget, pulling with an AUH, so add another 40 pounds. Pulls great, absolutely no issues. Adding hydraulic brakes to the trailer as soon as I can have the installer here.

Decided to take the old girl out for a few nights with the wife, was a slow drive to the camping spot with 15 miles of rough washboard roads.

Thats one hell of a trailer for a jeep but its good for just about anything you would need im sure
Thanks man. She's one hell of a heavy jeep.

How high off the ground is the trailer deck? Looks nice! Should be sufficient for any kinda vehicle you may wanna put on it.
Thank you. I haven't gotten a chance to measure it, but I went with the deck-over figuring I'd rather it be a little taller than fight the wheel wells of a trying to get it positioned where I need it.

They usually are around 30-34” for most deckovers. And without some long ramps you would be surprised how limited you can be to put vehicles on it without getting creative… when i built my deck over i made dual folding ramps that are 11 ft long so most small cars can also go on the deck…. Here is a pic of the ramps mid build but it gives you an idea

If the trailer does not come with rear stabilizers i recommend getting some with a jeep that heavy you dont want a chance of the front end poping off the ball of the truck when you start driving it on

Location
Pittsburgh Pa (Beaver County)
My buddies father was 4 hours away, up in the mountains of north central PA near Wharton. He left to head home and made it less than an hour before one of his rod big ends came out the side of the block/oil pan interface.

So yesterday I left work at noon and headed north east to get the Nissan with only 150K on the odometer and get it home.

I notice that towing the fifth wheel camper at 70 gets me 8.4 mpg while towing this truck and equipment trailer gets me over 12 mpg and I was pushing 80 mph a good bit. I was in a hurry and know that the trailer was lightweight with the toy truck on it so I felt that the trailer tires had ridiculous margin with this load. Go man go!

Anyways, I notice an infrequent clunk in the floor that I can feel through my feet and I can hear with my ears. It's something like a bushing could be track bar, radius arms, sway bar end links, drag link. That would be about everything that could be it.... it seems to be more prevalent with a bumper pull trailer that lifts on the front axle as compared to with my gooseneck that doesn't lift.

I still noticed it with the gooseneck, but super rarely.

Yesterday with the bumper pull I heard it around a dozen times and it's starting to chap my rear. By the way, 4,100 miles on it.

Absolutely one of the best upgrades we had done to our gooseneck trailer. Makes loading equipment and vehicles a lot safer.
