Finally got around to making my cargoview camera functional again. I originally ordered a high mount headache rack in hopes it would clear the 3rd brake light and let me still use the cameras. Unfortunately the cargo view camera was partially obstructed by the rack, while the rear view camera for the digital rear view mirror worked flawlessly. I debated between cutting the rack to clearance the camera but that would involve too much work and I hate welding aluminum. I ended up finding a relocation kit that allowed me to remove the camera from the 3rd brake light and let me relocate it in its own housing out of the way. I did have to modify the housing to flip the camera since it was upside down the way it came. Here is the kit I used and attached are some pics of the install and how I moved the case to flip the camera.

Is your digital rearview mirror camera still in the 3rd brake light housing, or do they use the same camera?

Was able to tuck the wiring behind the runner flap around the glass so it looks nice and clean

Two separate cameras. Rear view camera is in top left, and the cargo view is in the center bottom. (when looking at the 3rd brake light). I left the rear view in the 3rd brake light.

Thanks for that. Do you think the rear view camera could be relocated with this kit?

Not with this specific housing, and not sure if the make one for that camera or not. If you have the digital rear view mirror, you should be able to just add the aux camera (tow mode). Then just pick the camera via the button on the mirror. It comes in its own housing and wiring. Here is some good info on what your are looking to do. Hope it helps.

I am looking at adding the Westin hdx headache rack to my power Wagon . It has a cutout for the break light . Anyone run one of these and does it block the cargo camera ?

What did you do to seal up the hole in the 3rd brake light when you moved the camera?

I went to try this on my new work truck but my factory camera had a 6 pin connector on the camera instead of a coax. Anyone have a adapter or extension cable so I can get my camera hooked up on my headache rack?
