Hi all, new to the site. I own a 2024 2500 CC Tradesman. Just wanted to post saying I just finished the jump seat to center console swap. I looked over a lot of threads on this site and got some good info and some direction. Wanted to just give my 2 cents and experience on it. I bought a used console and all the hardware off Ebay. It came in the exact condition that was quoted. With shipping it was about $1300. Could have probably got it cheaper but once you add up the screws, brackets and closeout panels it does jack up the price. I did have to buy 2 nut clips to insert in the dash to hold on the bracket. I bought a console that had usbs in the rear and since my jumpseat did not have that I was not sure how that would turn out. There is enough slack in the wires if you cut some zip ties and pull just a bit, so i was able to get away without any extensions. They do make extensions but luckily I did not have to go down that route. First inspection everything works great, even the usbs in the rear which is one of the main things i wanted from this project so the kid could charge devices on the go. As some have stated the front usbs stay on for about and hour after shut off. I dont think this will lead to battery or no start problems but we shall see. Overall I am very happy with the upgrade. I feel it was worth the money and gives the truck a great look in my opinion. And having power to the rear seats and still remain factory is great. If anyone has any questions please reach out. I am by no means a mechanic but this project was fairly easy and turned out great. And thank all of you for the info that was already posted.

I am getting ready to put mine in. Just a quick question, where specifically did you have to install the nut clips at in the dash?
