So I just got back from Moab and was cleaning up my truck and giving it the once over and noticed that the cv boot at the t/c is slinging grease. Anybody else have this issue?

Yeah mine did this with ~6000 miles after new. Boot was torn, entire driveshaft replaced under wty. 25,000+ miles on the new one, no issues since.

That said, maybe the aftermarket can come up with a replaceable boot so the whole shaft doesn’t have to be replaced if this happens again out of warranty. Or just reinforce the torn boot… Maybe something like this?

jeeps have an oem replacement boot kit, difference I guess between Dana spicer and AAM. Seems crazy the entire d/s has to be replaced and even crazier having to wait 2.5 months for a replacement.

At least it doesn't spin unless you're in 4WD. So waiting doesn't hurt.

some of us like to off road often, It is amazing on how much freaking grease covers everything when in 4wd even for a short time. You are correct tho if someone never ran in 4wd it would be fine.
