I ordered a Mega Cab SRW 3500 on 12/31/21 and at that time the dealership could not add the painted wheel to wheel side steps. When they tried to add the wheel to wheel it would kick it over to a DRW. The cab length side steps were available but not the wheel to wheel. I will like to add the wheel to wheel side steps. My truck is still in D status and instead of trying add them now, if they are available, I will install them when I receive truck.

Does anyone know the part number for the painted wheel to wheel side steps for a Mega Cab 3500? My vin is 3C63R3ML1NG237065 , if that helps.

Thanks!

Here’s the tags from my crew cab long bed painted wheel to wheel steps, which they use the mega cab wheel to wheel steps on, hopefully this helps.

Interesting when you specified wheel to wheel that it kicked to DRW. I know of no factory wheel to wheel steps on a dually. Maybe I read that wrong.

I thought the same.

The first dealer I got a quote from for my truck said the painted wheel to wheel was not available. I was on the phone with the GM when he was building the truck and the wheel to wheel (chome) was on the computer order software and the wheel to wheel was grayed out. He sent me a pic. It would not let him pick the wheel to wheel option. Probably because it's a Night Edtion. The painted wheel to wheel was not even an option.

I ordered my truck a couple days later from Mark Dodge and ran into the same issue. It would allow the wheel to wheel on the 2500, but not on the 3500. I guess it was an option on the build sheet this time, but when they tried to add the wheel to wheel it automatically defaulted to DRW. Also during that time, some options were not available (trailer tire monitor), but a few hours later the trailer tire monitor option was available. Strange. I got the towing tech group instead of the trailer tire monitor.

I ordered my truck on 12/21/21, so maybe the factory was in the process of updating their parts inventory for 2022????

Thank you for the part numbers. I got an email back from the dealer and they can add the wheel to wheel when the truck arrives at the dealership for $2136.65....OUCH!!!

I will try and source them myself or wait for someone to take them off their truck and buy them used.
