My new 2022 Ram 3500 with H.O , AISIN trans and max towing dropped a trans at 2290 , first time towing a uhaul car trailer with my 2 door Jeep on it. Maybe 5500#’s

Truck had 1940 miles before towing.

Was in stop and go traffic traffic , slowed down and it clunked / hit had. Went to give it some pedal to speed back up and was like in neutral, as RPM’s slowed it jerked hard and check engine light was on . Seem like it was in 3rd but wouldn’t pull , put in 4 low to get off busy interstate, it clunked hard and went into a higher gear and was able to off hwy to a safe location, reverse seems fine. Waiter 7 hours for Ram to send a wrecker , they were no shows , had to call on my own and have it towed to dealer , I’m 6 hrs from home and pissed ..

Lost the K5 snap ring. You have 5th, 6th, and R. There is a a TSB for it.

That explains why it would only move in low, hopefully they replace the trans . Who know what damage was done.

The TSB is out so hopefully they can just repair it, but if they replace it you want to get the AB part number and not the AA part number.

After all the hard hits and slipping, I’m pushing for a new one .

Realizing not everyone searches first and everyone wants their voice to be heard. However, if everyone starts a thread on their failure, it's all going to get lost in the noise.

I suggest you post in the first thread linked below, contributing to the others as needed.

@UpNover sorry to see you added to the growing list of failures.
